The Non-edit Function

I have been having probs with the edit function today.
After editing a post the "progress bar" (little circle thing that shows you something is happening) just keeps going round and round ad infinitum making posts difficult if not impossible to edit.

I'm also having a problem with the edit button. when I'm on my phone, there is no edit option. just started happening the other day

They must be doing some upgrades or maintenance or something. I noticed when I search forum posts the format is different. Who knows?

I kind of assumed as much, but thought I'd throw it out there in case a mod/programmer was watching.
Then again, you rarily see any response from these type of threads - do you think anyone behind the scenes really reads them?

I don't think there is anybody running shit around here anymore. Maybe some intelligent robots or something????? j/k

Update, this from a Darkdestruction420 post on the same subject and it works.

"I've seen alot of people on here who have been having the problem that they cannot edit their posts like i had, well, i figured out a way around it so i figured i'd let you all know, you have to hit go advanced once it goes to the edit screen and it will work."​

Yes, I've found that the Advanced editor has some things that work when they don't in the Quick Reply. So thanks for that. And yes, Rollitup and the mods read this forum, and we try to answer. Sometimes I just don't know.

Right now I know that changes are happening, and Rollitup is tweaking the system and trying to program changes that we have asked for. Just today I see a difference in the way threads are listed. So please bear with us, we are always trying to make this the best site for all of us.

Thanks for the reply - feedback is reassuring.
And I'm not bitching, in fact just the opposite - am trying to help id programming bugs as they are encountered.
