lookin good homie, subd! i also grow out pc box!!
Really? I keep getting mixed answers some people say dual spectrum= maximum yield when I googled "Autoflower Lighting Regime" or something like that. Have you tried the differant regimes? The middle light looks like its a 2700k? if am right. i reccomend switching it to a 6500k for the first week or two and then switching it back to the 2700k.. Even when their autoflowering u still have to veg for a week or two before u switch lighting to 2700k..
Had a nice surprise when I woke up this morning. My first ever seed has popped! Journal starting today man. How's the ladies today?
You don't really have to switch lighting on a AF....The only reason to do so is yield. However, electropyro is right that you should be using mostly 6500k for the first 3-4 weeks. You can even go ahead and run the full mix of 6500k and 2700k like I said before.
A AF is going to flower even under a 6500k...just will have shitty yields.
i dont think that is true? dual sprectrum is just dual sprectrum.. you have to control lighting to manupulate it as if it was real sunlight.. i may be wrong do.. i am a newb.Really? She's doing awesome! The cotyledon's pretty much stopped growing now the set inside is just growing bigger and bigger by the hour.
The temps have been kind of crazy lately, but i guess i'm gonna go ahead and run the full mix and see how it goes. Just need to modify the case a bit ill have the full mix running soon.
Grow Journal[Day 2]:
She's looking awesome so far! The water is 2 inches in DRY. So I'm gonna go ahead and water her today. Pics Soon.
Lookin good so far man, +Rep for getting her germed and out of that shell
An autoflower plant should "automatically" flower. Doesn't matter what the light schedule. Its going to take at least 6-8 weeks to flower or more no matter what.An thats where i made my first mistake and ended up with midgets lol..
But 3-4 weeks of vegging is way too long isnt? i mean the plants finish in about 60-75 days from seed. so the majority of the time you need to supply flowering lights(2700k) right.? so wouldnt a week or two be more precise for vegging? i dont wanna come off as a douchebag.. am a newbie with a million questions sorry.
I understand that they autoflower Thus the name "autoflower" but the genetics with them still have a vegetative state(1-3 weeks) depending on the strain. So you dont have to "force flower" by switching like cycle like from a 24/0 or 18/6 to 12/12 i simply ment that after the plant has finished its vegative state the lighting degree should be change from the 6500k to 2700k. Having pure 2700k through out its life cycle will not be soo good.. it needs 6500k from seedling to about 1-3 weeks mixed in with 2700k lighting and once you see it has begun flowering thats when you change those 6500k with 2700k for flowering so am sure the lighting cycle does matter.Lookin good so far man, +Rep for getting her germed and out of that shell

If you make it to 1 month + of veg with no sex, chances are you ended up with an unstable auto like me! If this is the case, switch to 12/12 to force flowering, specially if space is an issue!
My shortrider vegged for 10weeks inside under 20/4 lights and outside aswell. She just went into her 5th week of flowering and is now about 4 feet tall lol.. Good thing I had the space and extra lights!
Thanks man! My bad I misunderstood you I just didn't want you to wait to long like I did! I was waiting and waiting for them to show lol..I understand that they autoflower Thus the name "autoflower" but the genetics with them still have a vegetative state(1-3 weeks) depending on the strain. +rep on that shortrider of yours getting 4ft tall. pretty nice bro..
It's just some bagseed. I had some pretty good mids a while back and decided to keep the seeds separate from all the other junk I have had in case one day I wanted to decide to grow. Well, that day is today!what kinda grow you gonna be doing Boonierat?? Like what strain you should check mine out!! One of my plants has just started flowering!!!!!!!
Well said! I'm on my first grow but its more similar to your 3rd grow as far as cfl choice, so I should be g2g I have two females/ 6 2700k and 2/ 5500k, I used between 2-6 5500k's for veg.I've ran 3 grows with AFs. The first grow I did the 6500k for 3-4 weeks (I was doing low ryders which reportedly finish in 60-65 days according to the company). Then switched to nothing but 2700k. Very low yield. My second run was low ryders again but this time I did a mix of 10 6500k with 5 2700k throughout the grow and my yield was double of the first one. My third grow was yet again low ryders. This time I did 10 6500k and 5 2700k for the first 4 weeks and then switched to 10 2700k and 5 6500k for flowering and stayed the same as for yield as my second grow...but the nuggets were tighter (not fluffy like the first two grows) and the trichs were all over the place.
Different AFs have different time lines. But it is my understanding that as soon as an AF sprouts, it is basically hardwired (genetically) to start the flowering process. That's the reason that any clones taken from an AF will be the same age as the mother and still finish at the same time as her. One of my low ryders flowered after 1 week of being under lights...and still managed to pack on almost as much bud as the others. So mixing the lights can't hurt, in my opinion.
When you water, e2sk, lift the pot and feel how it feels. Use that along with the dryness to determine when to water. When it feels light..water. Soon, you'll be able to tell from how the girl looks whether she needs water or not. Glad your grow is going well. Can't wait to see some pictures of your little lady.
