Rut ro! Looks like a "banana", a male anther. Pull it off, and watch for any new ones. Pull them off as soon as you see them, with tweezers or something, unless you got a bunch of other plants flowering. Then chop the banana queen if she starts popping multiple anthers. A lot of the time, with mildly hermaphraditic plants, you might have one or two seeds a plant. Not bad. She looks like she can go another 2 weeks, at least. What is the weird white thing growing here? The plants are on day 31 of flowering and this is the first I have seen this thing.
Seeds or no seeds, that is the question.Shit! Once I went to pull them off and started looking even closer, there are lots of them on that plant. They are growing in a bunch of the buds, possibly all.
You won't have any seeds yet, don't worry. I would separate the plant from the others, toss it in a sunny window or something, and let it go another week or two and chop early. If you don't have anywhere to put it, chop her and dry her. Enjoy the smoke until the rest are ripe.Check what? This is my first grow, not exactly sure what to look for. Where do I look for seeds?
If you use the space from the removed plant to spread the others, you shouldn't even see a diminished yield. Maybe a little. If they are all the same plant though, and all start popping anthers, you should probably just let them all go and you might have some seeds, but your buds will be mature and more potent than if you chopped them all early. There are 6 plants flowering together in a scrog. that's the only plant that's showing any of those so far, but there are 3 in that bud alone. There are a couple of other buds on that plant that have at least one coming in, though they are smaller than the ones in this bud.
I have been planning on going about 70 days. These clones were supposed to be OG kush, got them from an LA med club. They are not even half way there.
So you're saying I have to kill this one now and hope the others don't start doing the same thing?
You won't have any seeds yet, takes a couple weeks, 2-4, before seeds will form and mature, from the time of pollination. You just got pollinated, if you got pollinated. It doesn't matter anyway. You'll find the seeds when your cleaning your buds, after harvest. So where do I search for seeds, in/near the bananas?
Most likely. I have had plants before that produce many anthers and there were hardly any seeds in the crop. Most were unfertile. I would start with some new clones, but go ahead and flower those ones until finished and see what happens. Start flowering all your clones now too. Weed is weed, and seedy chronic is better than unseeded young buds, in my opinion. Just find a new mother asap.I just confirmed two other plants also growing these little things. I assume they all will have them then. Are the clones from these plants in dnager of having the same thing happen to them? Should I try to find new clones to start with?
