Deficient or burnt?

Here's a few random shots of buds and bad leaves that I took this morning... drives me nuts to see anything wrong with this plant, I'm going to have to trial and error my way out of this one, perhaps next time it will go a little more seamlessly, this time, I just have to chalk it up to exp. and hope for a level up so next time I'll have better luck. Still gonna get something from it, but I'll never know how much better it could've been...

maybe that is the problem...too much attention, its annoyed at u..j/j
have u stepped up the strength on nutes
I hear ya man, I'm getting some perspective now at least, I know to try something different next time... the more you know, right?!? :)

I have the strength at half what the schedule says, So I don't know if I'm too hot, too cold, or what, I know that things are looking worse after I flushed and have been going down hill increasingly fast. That one leaf I was watching to see what would happen with it, well, it fell off. Damn. At least at the end of all this I'll know how not to do it next time! Trail and error, I'd still love to know if I'm deficient or burnt, for sure that is. All I've got is some speculation up to this point.

i would step up the strength some more
at this point i think ur deficient(my speculation of course)
and even if this problem is not fixed,u can consider it a lesson learned
i guarantee u wont have this problem again

I could have as little as 4 or as many as 8 weeks left for these buds to ripen, I've rounded second and I'm coming right up on third fast, I'll be in the home stretch in no time. So that's how you'd finish it out Moash? Go ahead and load her up? If that's the case then I'm going to feed at the next watering, and do two in a row, especially since the last was so weak, maybe that's what's not being taken into consideration, maybe I'm outside the norm here because most people have 3-4 foot plants at this point and mine is almost 7 feet tall? You were right about them starting to fatten real soon, that's exactly what I'm seeing, they are starting to look like thai sticks more and more everyday :)
How do you feel about my feed/feed/water suggestion? She's like a little new born crying, but who the hell knows what for?

Edit: Other people in the FF Official thread think I'm burnt,.... either I have some sort of dark, top secret, weed virus, or people aren't actually looking at what I'm doing with this plant. Which is it Ahhhh!!!

thats the way i would finish any plant....give it what it wants until its time to flush
so yeah go ahead and feed a lil stronger on a "feed, water, feed" basis
start flushing about 2 weeks before u plan on cutting
will u take some bud shots for me????

Either tonight or tomorrow morning when I get home and get this suit and tie off I will get some good close-ups, actually, make that tomorrow morning so I can get a few shots under normal light, that HPS f's up any chance at getting a picture with decent color. Tomorrow morning makes the end of the first day of week 8 of flower.... I wish I had some way of testing the dirt to see if it's week or strong, I'd love to know for sure if it's over or under feeding... I can't still be locked out right now, it's been flushed and so lightly fed it can't be nute lockout at this point, could it?

it should not be locked anymore at all, unless ur mixing uneeded stuff in the nutrients
this is what i think happened to ur plant....u were giving it too frequent of feedings, then
over time,an accumulation of salts(nutrients) built up locking out a "certain" nutrient, making a def.
then u treated this def,but it added more salts to the soil making it worse....
then u did a flush, making it worse by taking everything away(but very necessary)
then u have been feeding lightly, making it worse cuz they still dont have what they need...
and this is where we stand now....
thats my speculation, what do u think???

I think it sounds good, so I guess the only thing left to do is feed med-heavy now to see if the plant uses the nutes, hereby fixing the entire issue (but of coarse at this point it's not going to turn this plants leaves totally around), or... make it 100% worse if one of the other people are right and put even more nutes in the plant and lock it out worse... lol :)

Flushing seriously gets rid of most everything right?!?

yes,i believe so
and no ur leaves will not get better,u have to see if the problem is worsening on a leaf or spreading to other leaves
i think the only deficiency where the leaf can get restored a nitrogen def

whats the temp? humidity? and do you have Co2 going?
if the humidity is too low (-50%), the plant has to work harder to transpire (plant sweat) this causes leaves to cup (to try and make more surface area for sweating to take place) BUT add to that high Co2 rates and the plant starts getting Nit deficencies, (yellowing of the leaves) Finally if the problem isn't solved the Stomas (plant breathing portals) will close up causing necrosis (death)

whats your temp? humidity? and are you running C02? (if so whats the ppm at?)

good luck

My temps are a high of 78-79 and a lows of 71-72 degrees Fahrenheit, the humidity sits at between 55-59% higher when the lights are on... I am currently sucking air through a CAN-66 filter with a 170cfm 4 inch blower and venting it outside the tent through my sealed light hood so to answer your question, I do not have any co2 system implemented into the tent yet, maybe with a chiller and a few iceboxes that will be a option one day. Do those numbers help you help me at all?

well I don't know man. those temps aint bad at all and humidity floating just below 60% during the flower is pretty ideal (as far as i know). so that pretty much rules out that idea.. hmm, do you have plastic on the walls? the reason I ask (it seems you got the major shit dialed so now its finding the wierd shit) is the plastic pulling off the walls? you might (big stretch here) be creating a negative atmospheric preasure with your can fan. plants don't like to live in a vacume and if there is always a small suction (more air being pulled out than can be replaced) that will force stoma's closed too..

You can tell, from the pics and what I have read, I think its a breathing problem with your plants, not nutrient.

good luck

Now your asking a good question, I have purposefully created a area of negative pressure inside my tent to help channel any smelly air through the can filter and out the side of the tents vent, it's working great to keep smell under control but this is hurting my plants you think? I'm surprised you say this without even knowing I was doing this, it's not extreme negative pressure but enough to keep the sides of the tent pulled in slightly. The walls aren't made of anything toxic, (or shouldn't be anyway) this is a DR100 and I've never read anything about these tents being toxic

Is there anyway to confirm or deny this theory? I have a fan speed controller that I will hookup and dial back the fan a touch to make the airflow out of the tent more closely match the airflow into it.

i think that might be unlikely because it happened so late in the grow
i would think it would have happened earlier in the grow if that was the prob

This did get worse over time, after tthe flush in particular the plant has only had more and more leaves yellow and dry and drop, and the tips only curled up after the flush as well... where did cowboy logic go, he said to flush and I'd love a little post instruction instructions...

first, I really doubt the tent is toxic. Sun Huts had that problem a few years ago, but I would believe that is no longer an issue with any real tent.
If you gave a good flushing, with PH adjusted water and the environment is good, you should see an improvement (in 2-3 days), almost universally. (minus under feeding, and that’s pretty god damn rare, who under feeds?) and you have not seen any improvements I would start feeding again, with half strength.
The negative pressure issue is real, the question is; is that what’s causing this plant issue. Negative atmospheric pressure issue would cause the stomas to gradually get worse since the plants stomas are going to gradually close, they don't all shut at once. Maybe get a voltage regulator and slow down the pull from your fan to a little less and see if they improve but don't forget your security concerns those are real too. ;) if the fan has a big draw, with a lot of pull, that would be my guess.
How long did you veg for? (I’m looking for the real start date of the issue), and did you do any fan upgrades, or room upgrades (more air tight) in between?
good luck =)
p.s. if I got this shit right, negative atmospheric pressure, from a “help me post” on the internet, I should get some kind of fucking award huh? Lol

I vegged 4 weeks from germination, I have only made small tweaks that have improved my temps by a few degrees over the coarse of the grow. Nothing major, I don't know what the issue is, but I'm telling you, I never went over 1/2 the feeding schedule the entire grow, I've been feeding light since I flushed but the fan leaves are all whithering up to nothing, I just hope I don't see my buds start to get ugly, that would really hurt me!

cut the vacume out. I bet early in the veg (from seed) there was a different light used, and it didn't require your fan (suction).. seriusly have you fixed the neg preasure issue?

Not yet because Moash made a good point when he stated that this would've started long ago if presure was the issue, that's been the same the entire time and no issue popped up until later in the plants life. I have fresh cooled AC air blowing in and my 170cfm fan sucking out sir through a CAN2600 filter going through a 180 degree turn, it's not making that much negative pressure, plus like you said, security is in play here too, and right now I'm sucking all the stinky away quite nicely.

I use a switchable 400 watt digital ballast, i had a MH in there for the first 4 weeks and then switched over to the HPS, it is a little hotter running bulb but I just cranked down the ac a few degrees and I was good to go....
