Is this a male?

sad, sad day. was the most successfully LST'd w/ 12 tops growin' up!

can't wait till i get those males outta there -- cloning females is so much easier than the craps shoot of seeds.

if these are still in veg, can hash oil still be made from the plant?

put it into 12/12, you need to confirm its a male, sometimes the preflowers are deformed and that makes it hard to tell for sure. I would never chop based on pre-flowers, even if it is a male you will be able to confirm it for sure b4 the sacs mature and drop pollen easily.

darkdestruction -- thanks, will do. pretty sure it's a male... sure doesn't look promising. but might as well confirm, hell. +rep

i'm gonna keep the males and make some hash from 'em when they're ripe.

you better be super careful then, take a shower and change clothes in between visiting your guys and then visiting your gals, pollen can stick to your clothes or body and get to your ladies easily without you really realizing it.

And you determined that in only 3 days of 12/12 lights? That's fucking amazing...... You diagnose a preflower on the 11th and determine it's a male after only 3 days in a flowering cycle? I'd like to learn your trick for speeding up that determination. Depending on strain, it can take 2-3 weeks in flowering to sex a plant. While it appears to have been a male, if that was the only pre-flower, you should have given it at least 10 days in flowering before culling it. As DD said, you had plenty of time.

i know this is from a super long time ago, but yeah that preflower started clustering really quick once the lights went to 12/12... two reasons why: males DO show their gender faster than females, and i had been vegging it for 10 weeks, which is long enough for preflowers to develop even in veg. hell, the other 6 males had already revealed themselves to me in veg, and it didn't take long for this one to follow suit. haha, serapis i dk if you don't believe me or what, like i saw a pistil and chopped anyway... how the hell would that help me? i saw some balls clustering so i assumed it was male, found out early in flower and let it go until the pollen was about to drop. either way i didn't chop the plant without knowing for sure - just made a few early assumptions which turned out to be true.

my mistake, that guy was only vegged for 6 weeks... didn't check my earlier posting, haha. not 10, not even close, my bad. my memory seems to be shit right now. regardless that's still enough time for preflowers to develop even in veg, specially for a male

It's not that amazing, I did it 3 days before 12/12 and was 110% positive.
