Sorry if this question is too personal but how did sub stab you in the back? I'm interested because I recently ordered some JTR and spacequeen after having multiple recommendations from friends. For the longest time I couldn't find much bad feedback about TGA gear but here in the last couple of months I've been seeing a few complaints about his gear. I have a small grow space so I don't have time to put bullshit in my garden. What problems did you experience with TGA gear?

I was explaining why I comment in threads about TGA gear and hold it in high regards. I'm not trying to kiss ass I just like Sub's gear and I think people should know that while some people like to bitch others have had great success with his strains.

It's all about personal preference I guess. My last grow I planted 5 seeds. 4 came up and I got 3 females. I guess I was pretty lucky since I see people on here who get all males or none of their seeds sprout. When you've been in this game long enough you learn that there are always duds and crap phenos. I'm a big fan of White Widow but I know people who think it's weak. I've been smoking for almost 25 years and have smoked a lot of good bud and a whole lot of crap! White Widow may not be the most potent strain these days but it's hardly weak IMO! Different people prefer different things.

Totally agree. That's why I asked him what problems he's had with Sub's gear. I have yet to receive my JTR and spacequeen that I ordered over a month ago (I've pretty much given up hope since they supposedly shipped on July 5th). I am not even sure if I've ever smoked any TGA bud so I can't comment but I was hearing nothing but good...............until a few months ago.
In spite of all the bad I've heard, I decided to give his gear a try. Now I'll have to reorder and plop down another almost $200 in order to find out for myself!

It seems all the bad comments started coming after he left Breedbay. I think people were just pissed so they started acting like children. I doubt there is any way you'll be disappointed with either of those strains as long as you like sativa influenced strains. Great flavor and great potency accompany both of em' but the Space Queen will probably yeild a little more than the JTR.Totally agree. That's why I asked him what problems he's had with Sub's gear. I suppose that's a possibility. I still want to hear all sides because strain selection, for me anyway, is extremely stressful. I don't want to commit time, money, resources, and garden space to a plant that sucks or just isn't up to par. I spend months researching breeders and strains before I make a selection. It's something I don't take lightly.

Believe me, I'm a pot snob simply because there is no sense in smoking crap when there is dank to be had and after I tried a couple of TGA strains I was hooked. The only strain I didn't like from TGA was Hash Queen and they don't even produce it anymore.

I've been looking for a short flowering sativa dominant strain for a while. I'm interested in Vortex and the Flav also. Almost all of his strains look and sound amazing!

Sub and Jill did me a huge one time so I thought I would return the favor by documenting my tga grow last winter here on riu. Like you I researched for a couple of months and settled on tga gear. I had easily the most well documented grow journal of 4 different tga strains on subcools forum with 60 pages, 12000 views and hundreds of photos on each pheno, all stages of veg and flower and then close up shots of the finish product. I met tons of people, some other growers starting tga strains, and had a lot of fun doing it. I told everyone that I would wait and do a smoke report after 1 or 2 clones runs ( what I did not say was that the reason for doing so was because I was so unimpressed after the first run I didn't have the heart to tell everyone what I thought of subcools gear). Throughout the whole journal people were saying how they are going to pick up his beans or that they were on the fence but after reading my journal they were going with him. I told you that subcool is a marketing genious.
In the end I did not do a smoke report and in retrospect, I should have or at least ended the journal. Actually I tried to just walk away from it until people started using it as a launching pad of their own to say how great they thought subs stuff was. One person in particular that I remember doing so was this guy SMH1. To make a long story a little shorter, I came back to the journal ( I should say my journal), SUBCOOL STARTED CENSORING MY POSTS AND WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT WAS NOT COOL AND TO PLEASE STOP HE DELETED MY ENTIRE JOURNAL. lol I'm not yelling....I just know that some of stoners can't make it to the end of a long post like this

Ya my sativa Vortex cut finshes in 7wks. Thats really what I like most about it though the potency is pretty good too. Smells tropical fruity in flower although I can't get a good taste out of it. I have a sativa Qleaner cut ( not the cat piss indica phenos ) that finishes in 8 wks, has a bit of a lemony taste and is more potent than the Vortex cut. Yield is on the low side for both...I usually scrog my sativasI've been looking for a short flowering sativa dominant strain for a while. I'm interested in Vortex and the Flav also. It sounds like Sub only wanted a favorable write up, not an honest one. That's the problem with some of these forums, they don't want honesty, just ass kissing. 
I've heard that most of his strains yield on the low side which is a bit of a problem for me as well. My space is very valuable and I try to strike a good balance between quality and quantity. I appreciate the info my friend.

Your more than welcome bro. I think most of us are searching, to differing degrees anyways, for that holy grail of strains as well. I'll be doing a grow journal soon, working with the breeder Chimeras (a very respected breeder). as a matter of fact, I'm expecting the beans any day. Good luck with whatever you decide on

Hello Highlanders! I finished my KaBoom Grow, my first ever, and it turned out OK. All But one Hermed but the quality of Smoke was top notch. All the old Timers tripped out on how great the High and Taste was. I was really looking forward to running another TGA Strain again. I have a clone of the non herm KaBoom running right now and its a beast. Oh Well, onward and forward! Thanks for all that you do man!

I don't really consider myself a TGA cheerleader, but I was pleased enough with my first run of Vortex to plan another run with a favorite pheno. Is it the best I've ever smoked? No, but it is my current favorite of what I have cured. See attached link to harvest report.

Again your hilarious, I had 3 posts on your thread and only after it turned into a bashing thread for TGA seeds and the only reason I posted anything was because I've honestly found some great phenos out of his gear. Go over to Breedbay and you can see there are many pleased TGA customers. I'm sorry you didn't find a "Holy Grail" pheno of Vortex out of 6 females but if you ask me it's a little naive to expect the best pheno ever from running only 6 plants. Appearantly a self-importantant asshole who rather than just having an opinion decides to bash a whole seed company based on his limited experience. I could care less if you don't like TGA, good for you. State your opinion and move on but if your going to to keep bashing Subs gear don't think others that have had good experiences aren't going to stick up for him. It's funny how anytime someone posts about TGA you can bash him and it's cool but if I stick up for him I'm a ass kisser. One of the main reasons I go out of my way to stick up for the guy is because not only does he sell quality genetics at a fair price but he's a genuinely nice guy that helps people out, responds to his customers, and spreads growing information to the public. In my book he's a stand up guy.
