whats up fellas, total newb here, im good with mechanics,but very slowly learning about plant life. i was just curious in others opinions, does this look like a good start for a plant say 10 days old? also, any recommendations how i would transplant this, i guess roots are sensative and i dint want to harm it any if i could help it. jane started life germinating in a birdbath in the sun.just been giving a little water here and there, and shes been in the sun till it goes down then transfered to artificial light. is that ok, could i use the sun and then transfer to artificial light like that after it starts getting bigger? like i said im a newb and have a million questions and wonders.any insight or comments or whatever is totaly kool and appreciated, and must i say, what a great environment this site is. thanx.....

looks like your on your way. and i dont see a problem with letting it outside during the day and bringing it in at night for more light.

Looks good. I wouldn't mess with the light regimen. If it works, go with it. If the plants start to look sunburnt, then shade them or use artificial light until they are bigger. It looks to me like a pretty indica dominant strain. I'd transplant it in about 2-3 weeks. Do you know what strain it is? Just curious.

thanx guys, any guidence is kool, appreciate it, i couldnt tell u what strain unfortunatly,just from some decent buds.perhaps i can give it a name?-lol ill call it wrenchead.ill update pics and let yas know how she breaths life...rock on....

tie em down huh? roughly when do you start to do this, and whats the best way to do it? tryin to give it as little stress as possible as it probably already is being stressed enough. i noticed this plant kinda has feelings, for example, when in the sun, she looks really healthy , when moved to artificial light she kinda gets sad and droops a little. some leaves droop while others perk up. ive noticed right before turning lights off shes always kinda sad, when i move her into the sun first thing in the morning, after resting all night her leaves are back up in the air. as if it is revived from sleeping. does this sound normal?also what lighting could i use for veg stage( cheapest posible). thanx guys appreciate any responses. very first time grow here. like i said when it comes to mechanics im all over it. total newb to botany. also im wondering when could i start feedin her nutrients? what kind(budget)? here she is 14 days into grow. sorry for the lame pic, will post clear updated pics....also i wanted to add, im running a 50/50 mix of top soil and miracle gro. i been using tap water thats been sitting out to release the chlorine.as far as artificial light i run two 20 watt florescent bulbs up top with hyper whit l.e.d on the sides of the plant.

hows this plant look for 27 days? when would be a good time for added nutrients? are spiders good? i figured hed eat all the little mites and whatever i been trying to keep off it? i been using sunlight in the day, then transfering to garage at night. humiditiy has been around 85 percent perhaps more, and temps are well in the 90's more towards 100, say 95 average. thats not good is it? any info is appreciated...

Maybe a titch overwatered but nothing major. Looks like a happy plant overall. And spiders wont hurt your plants by eating them. Their webs can cause leaves to stick together though. And the temps aren't good. 90+ is bad but if its that hot where you are and you don't have AC then there isn't much you can do about it.

its looking great man!
1. Start considering different lighting if you can, unless you were planning on an outdoor grow. They are by no means 'stretched' but the nodes are farther apart that i personally would strive for in my girls.
2.Your humidity is fine for its veg cycle, but you will want to find a way to lower it considerably when you start forming flowers (a week or so after you change to 12/12). In flower, aim for 45-55% humidity, higher risks budrot (mold).
3. As long as your girl is handling the temps so far (and it sounds like your humidity is probably helping that) she's ok. But your humidity will need to drop during flower, therefore the temps 'might' start hurting her. Keep it in mind, and start considering options now so its not a crisis later if it happens.
4. I think i see the starting of the 6th node? If so, you are in the prime time for topping/supercropping/LST. Start considering these options immediately. I would recommend a combination of lst and topping. They are low risk procedures that will drastically effect your final result. I skipped them in my first grow, and after learning them and how simple they really are, i really regret not doing it now. My second grow is incorporating them both.

very excellent, thanx guys, really appreciate a response.also, what type of water can i buy? i been using tap water, and ive noticed that the leaves are starting to droop and stay droopy, they also seem like dry and kinda fake feeling as of the last 2 waterings. and ive noticed the stems for the leaves are starting to turn purple. could this be too much chlorine? ive heard purified drinking water doesnt supply enough minerals as say filtered tap water would provide. just wondering, any thoughts?

I water my plants with rain water. I'd go with cfl lights on your grow, they are cheaper than a hps/mh light. The best way to transplant is to water your plants soil really good, once you've watered it real good, take one hand and place it on the soil with the stem between your fingers. Take your other hand and turn the pot upside down. The plant and soil should fall right out, you may have to shake it a lil. Have the other pot ready to put your plant in. That's the best way to transplant! :)

how might i transplant if i were wanting to switch the soil completley? right now im running half mriacle gro, half top soil. i was thinking about switching to a foxfarm soil. also anyone know about the purple coloring goin on with the stems for the leaves?its been gradually getting darkerer and more purple. the main stem is lookin healthy though and getting thicker every few days.

yikes! It's going to be a bitch getting those out of them paint cans.

If I were to do it I would use tin snips to make 2 vertical cuts down the side and bend the sides down and lift the plant out.

You will need drain holes in any pot you use.
