After A Flush ... Advice needed please :)

Hi ya :)

Ok heres the story , I have plants that have been in veg for allmost 7 weeks with a very slow build up of nutes from zero to 1.5 mil of Canna Coco A & B + Rhizotonic per liter of water so far ... Im putting them to flower at the begining of next week and gave them a flush ( Made it rain ) ready for a pump up of nutes over the comming weeks .

My question is .... Is it advised to start them back off with 1/4 dose and build up ... or can i go straight back to 1.5 mil with the next feed ? ( later today )

My thinking is , Now they have had just pure PHed water ... if i go back in at 1.5 it may be a bit to much for them ?... They are very strong and healthy looking ... but i don't want to push them if i dont need to ...

What you guys think ?

what kind of soil are you using? thats sounds like alot of nutrient but if your plants can handle it then more power to you. did you just transplant? you should water with 1gallon to every 3 gallons of soil that way you never get a build up cause its like you flush everytime. thats what i do

Hi ya :)

Im in Canna Coco , hehe 1.5 mil per lter ( thats one Point five mil per liter ) is to much ? ... Transplanted a while ago using Air-pots and they are thriving , I gave them a flush thru the last feed ( just water ) but now they are ready for a feed .... i'm just wondering if i can go staight back to the 1.5 mil or would it be better to go 1/4 strenth to get them used to it again after the flush ?

im not sure what the canna coco is so I cant really give you accurate advise. but what I would do personally is start them off at 1/4 until I seen sum flowers then half then full

Hey Vento
when using COCO in my opinion there is no need to flush unless you have problems .

the idea behind it is you can just constantly feed at the right EC level. Once you are at the right level there will not be any excess .

flushing can drown and wash away any friendlies you may have, trichoderma or mychorhizal, so if you are using these you should reintroduce .

yeah that does make sense. starting them out at 1/4 would still be good. so that canna coco is like rockwool?

Its the husks and fibres from a coconut.

It is devoid of nutrients.

It is used in mainly hydro on a drip feed system. BUt i think if i am correct in saying so Vento is like me and we use it like you would soil by hand watering everytime. With COCO you create around 10-20% runoff each time you water and when you water you feed each time.

No BReaks in feeding. If you have problems eg PH probs or Overnute then you just use 3 x the pot size of a lower EC strength feed. Rather than perform a flush with plain water.

COCO even when fully saturated has a great ratio of water to air. It will only hold what it can and release what it cant.

damn you should sell canna coco lol I allready want sum of it. sounds like it would be better than even rock wool

LOL i dont use CANNA coco i use the ATAMI B'CUzz COCO pretty much the same except the CANNA coco has trichoderma already in it.

Where as with the ATAMI B'Cuzz coco i have to add trichoderma.


All you need to do with coco is keep everything going in between 5.8-6.5 ph.

And its as simple as that.
