Hydro Organics vs. Hydro Synthetics

First and foremost, I feel as though a whole seperate forum should be setup for Hydro Organics. Not even the same sport.

I recently switched to Organic nutes for my rese's and I discovered an eerie thing... I am guilt of running myself out of weed too soon and clipping off of unready ladies for personal head stash while we wait. Obviously it is very hard to burn fresh erbs so I have used the ole Microwave technique to dry my babies out... Recently I discovered a strange but true thing... Microwave bud grown on synthetics too long and it spits and catches fire in the microwave! ORGANICS DONT. Kinds makes you wonder what you are smoking with that easy as 1-2-3 synthetic hydro crap.

EVERYONE knows that the only thing that catches fire in a residential microwave WITHOUT BLATANT MISUSE is metal, WTF?

Its a constant trend in the universe that we have to accept here. If its too good to be true than it probably is! There is no such thing as something for nothing, there is no such thing as set it and forget it gardening. I am not disputing that synthetics dont make quality thc and cbd, trust me, I know they do. The question is, what else are we infusing into those buds with the "latest and greatest" from capitalist moguls like Advance Nutrients and the like?



Its all about the yield right? If you are in this too make money dont respond to this thread it doesnt apply to you, nor can we relate on any level whatsoever.

Im all for organics but ive heard to much about alge slime build up in DWC setups using organic.

well, you don't get alge slime if your rez is light proof. other wise the only grime you have to worry about is all the minerals and sediment in the fox farm line.

i tired botanicare in a bucket just now and the ph rose after a day and kept going. I am not going to ph down every day. Not cool. What organic fert is stable like gh mineral in hydro with tapwater?

First, what is or is not "organic" is the subject of intense debate. In the United States, there are numerous definitions of "organic", many of which differ significantly. Each state has its own regulations for labeling produce as "organic". Additionally, there are 36 non-governmental organizations, which can "certify" produce as organic. Now only crops grown from unrefined minerals are recognized as "organic". The trouble is unrefined minerals do not dissolve well for hydroponic use and some of these unrefined minerals contain quantities of impurities, some of which are toxic to plants. For that reason, many 'synthetics' are made from high quality refined minerals. This ensures high quality crop production, but prevents the crop from being considered "organic".

all that is beside the point, no one has answered why the organic bud isnt spitting and catching fire like the synthetic. I have feeling it has to do with lead or maybe cadmium making its way to the buds via over the top nutrient steroids.

That is why a good long flush is essential for chemically grown herb. I have smoked organically grown herb and my own herb which is grown with chemical fertilizers. I must say with a good flush (one where you measure PPM's and replace the fresh water consistently for a 2 week period) I simply cannot taste or see any difference between organic and hydro. It burns the same, it tastes the same, it looks the same.

If you want to get right down to it some of the micro-nutrients that Marijuana uses are indeed metals. Metals are in our soil and in our body.

what changed me to liking the mineral hydro over organic was a comaprison grow in favor of organic. In favor according to the writer. Looking at the chile plants in organic hydro they looked sickly and gross compared to the beautiful healthy mineral plants. By mineral I mean synthetic. Organic is good for ground, soil, but for hydroponics it looks like the plant benefits best by clean living like the astronauts do it!

If you cant taste a difference then you have an uneducated palette.

People who hate on organics and claim synthetics are better do so for a couple of repeating reasons.

1. Its too hard! (Should I call the Whaaaambulance?)
2. There isnt a taste difference. (More Ketchup please!)
3. The yield isnt as much. (Cause ize gots to be bling blinging yo!)

You see the basis of their arguments. now use your brain.

anybody ever do hydro organics? how was your ph struggle. I was all into the organic soil way. Very fun. Then i wanted to do some hydro. I dont sell. But PH is my worry with hydro. If the PH is not ok all the time the plants go BYE BYE in all kinds of ways. With all the bacteria and fungi that organics involve the ph will swing. However I am hoping to also have some organic buckets if I can get that undercontrol. Maybe a nice balance of fungi and bacteria to keep in check. But is organic hydro really going to work? I mean in soil the micro organisms breal down the bone blood kelp etc and in hydro can that happen right with it all just sitting in soup? I guess it can. I used some batguano and pbp in a bucket and i got some fun stuff. It even turned into a compost tea and I had to worry about burns. What are you all using and how if you are successful in hydro organcis. For today my def of hydro health is a proper ph.
