10th week flowering - still growing?!? Pics

Ok so I started this plant on 3-15-10 and let it veg until 5-1-10, typical 6 weeks. Now I am on a 12/12 light cycle since I started flowering it. Today 7-15-10 is the 10th week the plant has been flowering and I had thought by this point the trichomes would be all turning brown and would be time to harvest.

Now dont get me wrong, if my yield is getting bigger thats just fine by me, but I want to post to make sure there is nothing im missing. Also judging from the pics please try to give me an idea of how much longer I need to be flowering before I get her up to dry.

The only thing I am doing is every 4 days or so when I take the plant out to water it, I trim the ends of the leaves off, some of them have discolored but never spreads to the main part of the leaf. Also I do this to let more light go down to the lower growth. The plant is all trimmed on the bottom of anything that wasnt getting thick and im trying to focus on those 5 main stems. Im using Big Bloom or Tiger Bloom im not sure and putting 7 drops of it per 1 quart of water, give it 6 quarts of water per feeding. Thanks guys

One acronym! HID.... actually one abbreviation and one acronym 1kw HID! Your lighting is at least one of the problems.

4 bendable neck lamps with the 23/100w CFL bulbs, 2700k and 2 45/150w large CFL bulbs in 12in silver clip on reflectors. These are the lights ive used since I started flowering. HID is not an option atm, this was a first test grow and im my closet in my room. HID would most def start a fire hanging next to my pants and such :(

Your plants are looking good and still maturing. I hate to say it, but it looks like you may be just over half way, I could easily see these going another six weeks. This has a very sativa dominant structure. I would say this is a very pure sativa specimen. Your yield will definitely increase. You have a ton of bud sites on your plant but if you harvest now it will dry to thin, wispy, buds.

If you keep doing what you are doing I'm confident this will yield some really heady weed.

yepthats a 14 weeker for sure.. very sativa dominat

Sativa dominant strains produce more of a cerebral effect. Indica's produce more of a body stone. A lot of indoor growers like the indica dominant because they flower faster, stay shorter, and produce denser nugs.

dude go with a 150w hps. you will have WAY MORE growth. for 10 weeks those cfls havent produced that fattest buds(no offense), but i think HID from now on is something you wont regret
e-conolight.com or search ebay if you're on a budget. i got a 600w dimmable e-ballast (600w,450w,300w) with both MH and HPS bulbs,& batwing reflector. i've done the cfl ting for veg and had great sucess but flowering with HID is unlike any other bedsides the sun. just my 2 cents

Yes. however the color of trichomes also plays a factor. cloudy=head high amber=body buzz.

you need to get those cfl.s within inches of the bud for them to work get them as close as you can without burning them,it worked for me last year,but if you want to make the differance get a hid,sometimes you can get a cheap outdoor light cheap at lowes or the depot and modify it to suit your needs and ebay is a good place I got a 400 watt digital with an air cooled hood and a mh and hps bulbs for 151.00 and then he knocked another 30.00 off because the hood got sligtly damaged in shipping so a new 400 watter cost me 121.00 deliverd so shop around you can get a hid cheap

I paid $380 for a 600W MH, HPS, shade, 1 600w ballast, 2 8inch fans, nutrient meter and a thermometer and humidity reader.

i can swap the MH and HPS for flowering and veg

Indeed, but here lies the problem. Being so sativa dominant, its growing straight up, the lights are already at max height, but I need them that way to stay above the tallest cola in the middle, if I drop the lights down, the longest 2 stems are up past the lights. Now what I have been trying to do is use pipe cleaners to make a hook around the top of the stem, and bend it, tying off the pipe cleaner lower on the plant. This is letting me lower the lights 10 or so inches so they are much closer to the plant, I hope me forcing the plant to bend (I didnt break any, just now its leaned over) doesnt hurt it in the long run.

Seems it would help though, because now with them being all bent over and tied, the sides and rear of each stem is getting totally new light and making new growth, they seem to be getting wider/thicker, since any buds that were growing upwards, are technically now on their side, and growing sideways toward the light is actually the new UP for them. If that makes any sense.

Ok ill try to clarify after reading my post.

Check Pic #2. You see how the stem in the middle is by FAR the tallest of all of them. If I lower my lights to 3-4in from the main part of the plant, most of that longest stem/cola will be a good 12 inches taller than my lights, giving it no light at all. SO I keep the lights over the tallest point in the plant, but that is not giving the lower stems enough light. Bending the middle with pipe cleaners and rotating it has been my only idea so far.
