first grow skunk #1 / skunk haze. do thay look small to u

hi ive been in veg stage for 3 1/2 weeks now from seed thay are 7" tall in soil under 400w hps and with it been my first grow im not sure how big thay should be for this age. ? how long should i veg for.?

They don't look too small to me. I'm just wondering why you didn't fill your pots with more dirt? This way you don't (or shouldn't) have to transplant before you know the sex. Good luck!

About vegging... I don't know. I haven't grown out any sativa dom. strains yet but by the looks of them I'd go another 3-4 weeks before flowering.

The size of your flowering chamber will determine veg height. I've had some sativa dominant plants that more than tripled in size. I have run skunk 1 and super skunk, and both of them doubled, maybe a little more, during flower.

You need to calculate the total amount of plant height you can have.

hi thanks for replys Moldy: i thought i had put the right amount of soil in utill i finished repotting then thought thay was a bit low.
thalboy: i have about 3 1/2 more growing hight left to go.
another question sorry but the verry bottom leaves have turned half yellow and gone crispy no ferts used yet as soil has some in. any ideas.?

It sounds like they are nute burned. A lot of soils, especially Miracle Gro, come with pre mixed nutes. What soil mix are you using?

dude i'll get a pic of my #1 for ya. mine are under hps 16 days
they way bigger. got mine ofa sensi seeds allways a winner its my banker strain

thalboy - im using j arthur bowers with john innes no2 thought it would take me to flower stage before i have to use some nutes.
oneton - mine are also from sensi seeds (#1) came in fancy green case with sensi seed logo on and the skunk haze are from seedmans.

I'm not familiar with those products. It sounds like they might have some nutes mixed in if you were planning on going without until flower. Are the burned leaves fan leaves?

hi thalboy yes the soil dose have some nutes in with good nitrogen nutes in. the leaves are the first true leaves after the cotyledon all other leave are fine. i thought i was over watering so after i repotted ive been waiting for them to dry right out before i water again. thanks for your reply.

recon these be ready 45-50 days
total 10-11 weeks , seed to bud. first 12/12 today woohoo
potted in BnQ tomato bag soil 50/50 pearlite
just 1 capfull of miracle grow added to 30l tank last week
wilma set to drip feed 15mins a day (just as lights come on)
lights set 19on 5off ,iusually veg for 24h but with the heat lately havent been able to do that this grow

it amazes me the speed this stuff grows lol

thanks for your reply oneton have u grown skunk #1 before is good quality smoke. im getting new growth all over at the moment hope it gets nice and bushy like yours. fingers crossed.

its a fantastic smoke and yield, very very underated. i think with all the new strains goin about everyone has forgot about it. very pleasing and quick to grow also. i think i read somwhere the thc is 8% which is low compared to some strains but i dont notice the thc being low. its quite potent i think. the colas are lovely and crusty too. yeah must be one of my favorites
