What's up? So I haven't stopped in this thread for awhile, but i read what I missed, and I'm glad to see all the progress made! congrats BigL and happy belated birthday
So everything is coming along decently, but
CONCERNS:
-More purpling of leaf stems, pH is around 6, bringing it up a little (see pics)
-The darkening of some white hairs? (see pics)
-Spotted 2 or 3 little gnats Best way to deal with them?

Best way to deal with the little knats.. is to get yourself some sand (preferably sand from a beach) or you can go out and buy a bag of it somewhere I'm sure. Then, open the bag, begin to pour the sand onto the top of the soil around the plant.. BE CAREFUL.. don't put too much sand in there. Clog things up. But, a good .25 of a layer of sand ontop the soil.. will keep any knats out of the soil from reentering, and if they have any larvae (eggs) in the soil.. it will suffocate them as well. Won't harm your plant.. as long as you don't put too much sand on top.
It's what I do.. personally. Works just fine for me.

Friend got me the soil, Eco Grow(no time release ferts) im only adding another 42 watts for a total of 196 watts at 27k pumpin 15,000+ lumens. and im using low(12-0-4) nutes because i cant afford to over nute.

bout as fat as a nickel. =) thanks i use the super cropping method(very light bend) almost every week now. I used to do it one time every 2 weeks.
It seems to slow upward growth if you keep at it, not to mention it lets light get to the "thicket" of my plant.
Im not sure if anyone else does this. and every other week or so you can actually feel it strengthen.

i dunno guys...i think i did something wrong...my plant isn't really smelling a whole lot like good bud...and it seems to be losing the greenness it once had...i've been keeping it in the jar for the most part...keeping it in one of my drawers...i'll open the jar for about a couple of hours...then close it...i still see crystals though...but still looks as if its browning...i don't know what to do...

Have you tried any of it bigL? The branch I have hanging up is also losing its greenNess but its smelly. Ima put it in a jar tomorrow or the next day, its been hanging up for 2 days. And It's not 10g on that one branch, more like 4-5. But it is the smallest of The branches. Do you have a new project going on bigL?

Iv heard putting a orange peel in the jar helps with smell and taste, but ya might want to get more info on that.
Letitgrow...i do have a new project going...2 Nirvana Mystery seeds...i have no idea what the strain is...When i ordered the NYPD...these came with them as free seeds...the one thats actually growing is 1 week old the other i put in soil 48 hours aago...the other pics are of my nypd bud...idk...what do you think?

yo, that NYPD looks delish. I actually just picked up a quarter of this night before last.
my buds look identical in color, to yours. hehe.. def. good smoke.
I've also still got about a dub left of my last bag. Which is Strawberry Cough.. my favorite strain now.
My favorite, used to be Nirvana's 'Ice' strain. But, since first smoking Strawberry Cough, well.. I've changed my fav.. to being Strawberry Cough.
The high from the cough strain.. ahh man.. its like a fully body massage.. with excellent pain relief. Delicious taste as well.. major props to the
people that bred this strain. Very nice job.. excellent.
anyhow, have a stoney weekend everyone.
its 5pm.. and there should be something on the Discovery Channel worth watching. If not, there's always Discovery Science channel too.. Popular Science channel.. I dunno. Call me a nerd.. I don't care. I'm a 28 year old nerd.. and always have been.. and always will be a nerd I suppose.
But eh hey.. its cool. It's the reason I'm where I am in life..

BigL that looks Damn good bro! Jealous!! Looks like some kill to me! Me and the wife smoked a bowl of the bud that's been hanging up for 3 days and got pretty Damn stoned! Ima let it hang for another day or two then put it in a mason jar for about a week, then it'll really blow us away! Also got informed that the inlaws may be coming to stay with us next week, which means ill have to chop her down, and she still has hairs everywhere. But I think it'll still be some good smoke. I'll just let my lst and purple plant veg for another 2-3 weeks, or until the inlaws leave. I flower in my computer room and veg in our closet.

Thanks man...i actually smoked a full blunt of it yesterday...me and my girl were headed to the city to hit up some clubs...we live in the burbs...so instead of driving...we took the train because we knew we would be wasted...while we waited for the train we smoked and wow...when you break the bud up, thats when the smell comes out big time! its still very sticky...i have to spread the bud out with my fingers because it all sticks together...amazing...but it really tastes like haze rather than diesel...which is pretty weird...about the inlaws...dude...my grandma came twice to visit while the sour was growing...had to transport her 3 miles to a friends house twice!...i know what your going through...lol...get the ona block though...it worksBigL that looks Damn good bro! Sounds like a good time bro! I bet that blunt did its job! I still have that one branch hanging up, the stem still bends instead of snapping. But the bud is hard and crispy feeling so I wonder if its ready to cure? So ready to smoke my girl!
