soak the coffee grounds (1 cup per gallon of water) to make a tea then water with it leave the grounds so they go into the soil

dilute 1 part pee to 10 parts water don't let it set out needs to be very fresh

I tried to find an old thread I made a while ago and it was about nitrogen supplement. I would recommend tea or coffee grounds, manure (chicken or cattle), feathers, or hair all have nitrogen in them. Here is a quick search for you.

cause i need weed and i need somethin to do its a learnin experience so what mistakes i make wont happen again the next time

Urine doesn't have very much Nitrogen in it but it could work for a small boost.

btw, you can generally get all the free coffee grounds you want from Starbucks. Ask them about it if you don't see a basket with them already bagged up somewhere in a corner. They produce BUCKETS every day.

the top leaves are still green but they are curling up and drying out. Thats the top half of the plant, the bottom half is fine. I cut off alot of the dry curled leaves, new leaves grew back, they are doing the same thing. I moved the plant far away from the hps light, am i doing the right thing?
Will the plant be okay in the long run?? I have a moisture meter to check my soil, so i know when to water, so i dont under water/over water.

I feed them very lightly ever other week

From my experience, if the bottom leaves curl up and top leaves stay, that is a sure sign of fertilizer burn. In my opinion it could not hurt to just flush the soil until more can be figured out.

If just the top of the plant has been effected then don't trip. Keep taking care of her until there are more problems then she can handle then start to panic. Kick back and take a breath. How far away is the light? Usually you want to start 400+ watt hps about 3 foot then move it closer and closer to see how far your plant could handle. Some can handle intense light heat and some can't. Just take care of her and she will come back. You can even cut her where the top is bad and she will just put out new shoots. As for the watering, those meters aren't 100% accurate but I can give you a rule to live by and never over or underwater. Wait for the soil to be pulled away from the edges of the pot (dry) before watering and you wont go wrong

Yo dawg just kick back and watch it grow trust me it will grow fine. You have shitty lights and I told you you couldn't grow like that. Get some scrip and get some better lights. Cfls cost about $10 for a 6 pack at walmart....

i can't and don't want to get that fancy cause i dont have that much money i will be getting some more in alittle
and i just want the good basic stuff the lights i got now

whats up joker.so this is my setup.150w HPS and that light fixture ther with 8 CFL 6 blue and 2 red.taht pic of the plants and both lights plus one fan is days old,ther bigger then that.I also added like 3 more fans.temps r between 80-85degrees. humidity is border of normal and dry,50% it says.I just made that CO2 thing.2L bottle,1L of warm water.1 cup of sugar,1 tblspoon of Yeast.I have approx. 3 feet of clear tubing which is ran into that bowl or warm water,which bubbles creating co2 in the air.(the bottle isnt in the room any more,also the bowl is on a stand right between both plants right at ther level or the base)

I believe i have CALCIUM and MAG def..

prob. a lil dry in ther also.

so yea i am havin slight problems,my leaves feel dry.I water them soo im confused.

the new sun leaves that came in are droopy and dark/dry(see pic up there)

Just let me knw if u knw diagnosis on anything.....ANY AND ALL tips/advice will gladly be heard.

got aphides and whiteflies, outside grow, 6 weeks into flowering. fighting aphides manually, kinda loosing ): can i use pesticide this late? will it still be smokable? what can i do?

am going to hang sticky-yellow-stripes, though not sure will help since outside. tried dish-soap and water and i think i almost killed a plant...

i REALLY need some answers...

You can go get some praying mantis eggs and in about 3 days the eggs will open and out will come 100+ baby mantis that will take care of your problem.

Not to step on the more experienced growers, but I wiped out a whole generation of aphids on my plants (and on everything else in my garden) with 8.99 worth of ladybugs from a garden shop 5 minutes from my house. Just put them out on moist soil at the base of each plant right at the end of the day when it's almost dark. Mist the plant and the soil first. They'll cluster on the plants for the night, then wake up with the munchies like me. Once your plants are clean, they fly away.

And newbie question for you: how are you in flowering outside at this time of year? Did you use dark bags?

Lady bugs do the same as praying mantis but praying mantis can get up to 8 inches tall (tallest I've seen so far) and that kind of bug will eat a lot of bugs lol
