Dont bother with the LEDs. Just get you a bad ass HPS/MH HID grow light. YOu will get better results. A heavier yield and the initial cost is less usually.

This is a 250 watt complete HID grow light system for just a few more dollars compared to that bloomberg LED panel. It is a better choice and you wont be disappointed.

Peace and positive energy to you

nailz you are right

but, what if he wants an led?

if that is the case, then what led would be best in the price range of a bloomboss 45?

At 250w would anyone say or suggest thats the minimal wattage to get a decent grow ? Im seriously considering this one as 400w is probably going to run too hot for my space.

@fullmoon kid

the heat and space is my issue, i have a 250w in there, it's a small space, it simply won't work with a 400w in there unless i make major ventilation changes which also will cost me. however, there would be no issue at all heat wise, with adding an led panel for supplemental lighting! maybe i'll get a bit more than i normally would under the old 250w?

thats just my 2 cents, IMO cancel that order whenever you still can. it will be disappointing to go through the effort of growing and not getting any real yield out of it. i mean if there has been a breakthrough in LED tech it would be all over the news believe me...

have you tried one of the sunshine systems glowpanel 45s?

i plan on using mine along with a 250watt hps, just for supplemental side lighting with a low heat footprint

we shall see, it'll be in my grow journal once it arrives and i get it rigged up to hang off of the hps reflector

word up, i'm using one of those same cheap 14watt ones along with some cfl bulbs for a tiny 14"x14"x14" vegetating cube, been working a treat so far, love the lack of heat

anyone use or know of anyone that uses these led's? ive searched google up and down with only a couple results. im wanting to use a bloomboss 45 for a future wardrobe grow and dont want to waste my money on something thats not going to work. thanks. http://www.nehydro.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=38_82&products_id=1020&zenid=q1ke2f7rpd8c6dhct6mjnakle7
grew out two plants using the sunshine systems glowpanel45. great for vegging, sucks for flowering. just doesnt have enough juice. then i bought four of those cheap 14w panels on ebay for side lighting and they were pretty much worthless. now i moved on to a 90w ufo with cfls and the 14w for side lighting. hoping for a heavier yield. i do recommend them for the vegging room. keeps the heat down in tight spaces.

hey ramie808,

thanks for sharing your experience with the glowpanel 45 too man! i'm curious which ufo you are using right now? there are so many brands and so many different spectrums i'm seeing, very wide price ranges too

magnificient,

i'm not really sure what to keep track of with the panel, i have a journal on here that i update once in awhile, if you have any suggestions for what i should try to keep track of in terms of the led panel i'd love to hear

Actually, doing a side by side with cfls would give everybody an idea of how the leds work. Most people are not familiar with led, but it seems that everybody has used cfls. Just a thought bud.
