It won't give you even the slightest glimpse of what you're about to harvest eventually. So unless you need a high like a bum needs a sandwhich, wait until the entire plant is ready before sampling.what are the disadvantages from quick drying by microwaving?
Over time it may break down at those temps, but 24 hours is nothing for many of these quick dry methods - except the microwave, that's the worst one.Temperatures over 80 degrees will break down THC ....

Oh come on you know no newbie can be THAT patient. He's had to wait 3 months already, and he's already done it.just let the shit dry naturally... you noobs are taking things too far these days.
Microwaving won't do anything.. but make the buds smoke harsh; burn your throat; and have a NASTY taste.
Also, if you heat them for too long.. and too high.. the trichs will burst open.. thus leaving you with buds that won't have any potency in them.. therefore you won't get high off of smoking them either.
Ughh.. just leave things alone.. keep it simple... and things will go great. Leave the natural process alone.. thats MO.
ugghh.
BrickTop already went over the problem.
THC breaks down at 80degrees. Water == boils at 220F or 100C. He doesn't mention which 80degress he meant but either way when the water boils you're over the limit.
Yea, I knew it was probably there, was just making a point for those that can't grasp all the numbers. The microwaves primarily interact with fat and water molecules, so the water should be biggest concern. This part of what I said in one message in this thread might be more helpful.
