idea is to change the water till the color stops changing say it takes from 3 to 7 days, then just dry it out and smoke it, theory is that plant mass is diminished and as a result the thc content goes up also supposed to take away harshness and flavor, they say it has no taste

also kills bag appeal as comes out dull and brownish looking but as I said this is mids at best so might as well learn from em

and yes, I agree for $20 a gram should know the strain

Not about needin money, I have everything I need, I just read Big talking about karma and I believe in that , that somehow the plant knows who really cares about it and things happen because of it, somehow I want to get the info to those that care, if that makes sense

Not in it for the money either as ya know. The information you pass on fit's in with the way I have approached my grows, although I have to admit, I did get cought-up in the hype at first and started to think about turning a profit. Some people are cut-out for the business of M/J, but for myself and those around me, it is about the rewards the plants provide for us. I have never really been big on the Karma/Universe thing, but I am beginning to see the light if you will.

I think that truth be told, the "secret" would probably fit in with the way we approach the plant, but for those in it for the business, well that may be a different story.

yeah that is kinda where I'm going with it, would love to help out med growers to get better meds but don't want to increase the cost that commercial growers charge cause I told em how to make it better,,,if that makes sense

well riddle, im looking to move to CO to become a legitimate CG. i want to actually have a CG/patient relationship, and do the things a care giver should do, not just grow their meds. to my patients, depending on their condition will get very very cheap to free meds. certain factors would affect that i.e. severity of condition, price of medical bill expenses. i want to become a CG to help my patients and improve their quality of life. also a lot of patients who have a caregiver have to have someone else, and pay someone else, to do things for them that they cannot not. i want to be that person for my patients, free of charge.

i know you live in CO and i just read HB 1284, about the new 5 patient limit on CG, but i figured out a way to still legally have 10... dont you love loopholes. i want to 10 so i can make this my full time job and help more people. im trying out your drowning method on my current grow, but when and if i move to colorado, i will do a experiment with clippings of the same strain, one will get the drowing method, one will not as the control, then i will see which is more potent. i dont have the means to do it right now.

also, do you think this new bill is going to effect the CG as much as it is the dispensary's?

I commend you I to would just give it away to those in need, there are so many taking advantage of "I have pain" thing I would charge them double LOL, and yeah they need rides to the doc and someone to get groceries for em there is a lot that "could" be done it's not all about the MJ,,,,,or the $$$

yes that is exactly what i mean. haha and ya im talking about the ones who dont NEED it i would charge them but still at way lower prices than dispensaries.

and im not in this for the money at all. i mean i will still be making money but not much if any off the patients. i want to just make sure and do my best to make my patients have the best quality of life they can have, through whatever means i can provide.

i was Pre-med in college to become a doctor, but opted out of it. for several economic, social, and personal reasons. the original reason i wanted to become a doctor was to help people.

this is from part of the link in your post about depriving roots of oxygen to start fermentation befor harvesting the plant.
iv been tossing this around in my mind quite a bit since it was posted, and im wondering, if we add molasses into the water we use to "drown" the roots, are we adding starch and sugars to the plant, thus making more alcohols and simple acids in the fermentation process, in turn destroying more chlorophyll.
am i correct?

Day 3 watercure update

water is getting clearer has just a slight greenish tint to it, the brownish color is gone and the fresh mowed grass smell is gone, now it just smells wet

still looks like bud, still green, still has red hairs and lots of trichs, I will try and get a pic tomorrow

entirely possible, but IDK for sure I would say go for it, as we already know they are still wickin the water

yea, they deffinatly are. it wicked about 1/2 inch out of the bucket since i started. but im goona give it a go, wish i had 2 plants ready to chop though so i could test it on one and not the other to see if it does actually help.

Would you advise against that? Also I have some Miracle Grow- African Violet leftover from some chili peppers. I know you said to stay away from it, but it says PH balanced (ph 6.0-6.8 does it make a difference?

Please note that I am not a MG hater, if you have experience using it you will be ok, I advise against it mostly because new growers don't have a clue how to grow let alone in MG, it can be very different and confuses most with no gardening experience

as for water only you can, may run into problems down the road most likely deficiencies, and your yield would be less

MG nutes arnt that bad I used them on my first grows and they went fine. Just be sure to use in moderation because MG can burn your plants really easly.

ok, riddle here is question. i have checked the trichs on my plants. the are probably on average 50-70% cloudy, and 30-50% clear. these are 8-9 week strains. from your opinion, how long does it take for the trichs to take to turn 90% cloudy 10% amber or around there from being about 60/40 cloudy/clear

went and looked at the pic's you posted on the 15th from those I would say 2 to 3 weeks, so your july 4th weekend looks about right IMO

OK, this one's kinda from left field.
After a 4:20 break the Hippie Gardener and I were talking about the coming harvest. She mentioned, "What would a pressure cooker do?". My first thought would be over 300 degrees would release the goods. We were also talking about tinctures, (and edibles). What do you think about an oil? I haven't even looked anything up yet. I was busy cloning and transplanting so I haven't done the research I usually try to do (or even much deep thought). Just a random?

hey riddle,
well i harvested the plant this morning
a bit early, but i need some smoke! haha
i DEFFINATLY think the technique worked tho, i dried a small test bud under my light and it tasted bomb. no grassy, "homegrown" taste at all, and it wus really smooth
