Hey guys, Ive learnt alot from this grow and also gained alot of knowledge from this site.

When i started this grow i only had 1 100w floodlight which i thought i'd just use and see how it went, i know this is a bad choice of lighting but i wanted too just use what i had, i think that considering the type of light that i used it has grown quite well and healthy, as the growing progressed so did i, updating the 100 watt piece of shit to some more efficient light sources, Got some CFLs and fluoro tubes they around 7500K, averaging upto 200 and something watt, after the light change they have been growing much better and more rapidly.

My plant has been vegging for 6 weeks, the plant could have been bigger if i had the right light source from the start but oh well as this is my first time grow im sure the next time around i will be more ready.

I have a question, is my plant ready to start flower process 12/12 cycle or should i wait abit more? The bottoms nodes are already starting to alternate.

Also do you think my plant looks good and healthy for 6 weeks? Im thinking this plant maybe more towards the sativa strain as the leaves are long and thin, what do you think? The bag i got this seed out of was pretty damn good! just hope this turns out to be a female, even if it doesn't turn out female im happy with the knowledge ive gained, got some 60 day wonder autoflower on its way so the knowledge from this grow will go into that one!

I've also just finished construction of a growbox, prior to building this growbox the plant was just sitting in the middle of room with lights on it, this growbox makes so much difference, especially with all the reflective material inside of it, no light is going to waste :D

Any advice or anything would be great! thanks

Oh and incase anyone wondering why i have perlite on top soil it is because i had an insect problem early in the grow, there the worst thing ever!, but all that is gone now

I would wait a couple more weeks to initiate flowering. At 6 weeks old, it's not mature enough to flower anyway. A seed plant will reach sexual maturity at about 7-8 weeks. If you flip before then, it won't start to flower till then anyway. Plus you'll be causing undue stress.
The decision on when to flip with bag seed is sketchy at best. You never know how much it will stretch. A real problem in a box. Wait till it's 8 weeks and flip dat bitch. Watch it closely for three weeks(normal end of stretch) and you should be able to tell from the height how big to veg it next time
Hope this helps

thanks guys i am going to wait another 2 weeks before i switch to 12/12

it seems like its just starting to really grow now anyhow, so ill just let it do its thing for 2 more weeks,

im hoping the box i have will be big enough for the whole cycle of this grow, it does look like it has alot of room to support the plants new growths, but if it outgrows this box, might need to build a monster box! lol

yeh tru I didn't think of that, but i guess with this grow i have the space so i might aswell go for a big yield,
thnx for your comment, its good to know that the plant looks healthy and happy

I started with 2 seeds this grow, they both were growing together but i had to make the decision to kill 1, the one i killed was the plant that was growing the fastest, hope i made the right decision! lol
cause i read that males tend to grow faster then females, is this true?

also to flower get 2700k cfl's the 42w or 27w not sure how big of an area youre using but you want atleast 3500 lumens per sq ft (more really 5000 or better) the 27's put 1750 lumens and the 42's put 2700 lumens they sell 65's that put out 4600 id stick with the 27's or 42's.the 2700k's are usually the yellow box thats actual watts not the equiv crap

if by 60 you mean 13w which im pretty sure you do there only like 900l each three of those want be enough for smokable bud unless youre flowering 1 plant if youre limited to 3 lights youre gonna need the 27's which are 100w equivs 42's the 150 equives be better 3pk of the 27's run ya bout 8 bux 42's bout 9 bux each but the smallest cfl grow ive ever down was 3 27w on 2plants in 5.5"pots yeilded like 12g

12 ttl wasnt really tryin though was just a comparision between it(76w cfl) and a 70 w hps the hps won at 19 both woulda yeided better if ida vegged and lst'd i play with the little cabs for breeding and vegging but i like my 1000 and you said earlier you where gonna get a 400 hps and mh ive igot 70's 100's 150's 2 for 400's a 600 and to 1000's i dont own any mh's unless you wanna spend it the mh would be the last thing i bought

cool, just got back from hardware store, returned the 13watters, funny thing is they didnt have 27watt bulbs or 47 watts!! argh

So anyway I picked up....

1 20watt warm white which equivels 100watts 1350 Lumens -2700K,
1 24watt which equivels 125watt 1550 Lumens-2700K
1 28 watt which equivels 140watt - 3000K - It doesn't tell me how much Lumens it has though im guessing more then the other 2 for sure.

Also i picked up another lamp so i now have 4 lights for the one plant, ill just throw in a spare 13watt in there anyway! lol

Would these lights be good now for flowering? I was going to get 3 of the 28watt bulbs but i bought the last one there!
