Not true. Your ocean IS better but looks similar. I mean sure the South Pacific is the tits but so is the Caribbean.
Though I have to say the furthest south in CA I've ever been is Long Beach I guess or Catalina Is. Whichever is further south but the water I saw there was really nice and clear but a similar color to what we got. I was disappointed. The most beautiful water I was was in Cozumel Mexico believe it or not. It was pristine, crystal clear and just perfect!
