Well my grow space is not however something like this would be practicle as my space is not completely sealed by door (Have sheet hanging) and makes it pretty difficult to run a carbon filter
haha yeah i would love to be able to use a space that big...as it is: 8 sq feet and also not in a completely sealed environment (two sheets hanging + cardboard box) so it works out nicely, especially for not so stealth setups.

well i have figured out my solution ill just have to deal with taking the ac duct off and not having the ac run in the closet anymore ....still debating on wheither to just say fuck it and cut a second hole in the ceiling and putting the cut hole back in when i move out and plaster it back in and do a touch up paint job...who knows ill keep it posted in my grow journal ...Link is down below

Perfect! Take off the vent. Remove the flex duct from the vent. Measure it. Prob a 6" or 8". If its 6" we are in business. Run the one from the AC down to the floor(you want to dump cool air near you plants). You are going to need to get some kind of exaust fan a filter(HTG has them for $200 for the combo). Put the fan up in you attic somewhere and hang it so it doesnt vibrate. Run the sucking side down inside the vent hole and attach you carbon filter near the ceiling(hot air rises). This will remove all the hot air from your room giving you negative pressure when your ac is not blowing. The other end after the fan can just dump into your attic and it will draw out your rrof thru your roof vents. DO NOT HOOK IT UP TO ONE ROOF VENT AND PORT STAIGHT OUT!!!!! This is how people get caught with FLIR. Just add it to the already hot air in your attic and nothig will look out of place.

Not sure where you're running or the situation but think of ways to turn your destruction into an "improvement". Like my grow room had no lighting just a receptacle controlled by the switch, so I popped in a 6" hole in the center of the room, rerouted the light switch, and when I leave I'll pop in a recessed light fixture.

well i have made my decision im going to take that damn light out for now and drop a 4" flex in the room thats final damnit if i need to i can shave the hole to 6" if I need to but 4" i think will be fine we shall see ....the next thing i have to do is decide if im going to do A DIY fan and scrubber or just look for a nice 4-6" inline fan or not ..this room is only temp i have a much bigger room im going to use for my next grow 15Wx19Lx9H...I just wanted to get a grow or too under my belt before i go crazy and spend 1000$ on equipment to have big harvests

Yea don't end with a bunch of stuff sitting idle like me. My goal was to set up and go straight to aero but that bill started adding up quickly, especially after you buy all the shit no one told you about.

yeah it does. here is the research that learned me to it. page search "negative ions". as for placement, there are alleged positive effects of negative ions in the grow space itself, in addition to odor removal. plus it's HEPA to get the bacterias. that specific unit has an effective (87% particle removal) area of up to 125 sq.feet. i hope that your grow space is at least that big. glad to help =]

you might wanna try something like this if you have the funds....circulation and oder elimination in one, its quieter than the vortex 6" really expensive though, for me at least.
You know, it's funny you mention that article, because a friend was talking about this not long ago. He's been using a mini aquascape and say its works great for his cabinet grow, and then that article mentions negative ions and large bodies of water. I've kind of been pondering the idea of a larger water wall that you could run from hydro systems while the pump was off. All you would really need is a solenoid to switch the reservoir over to clean water.

let me ask you this question ....i have central ac through out my house it runs non stop set on 72f ..i have a ac vent right in the closet and i also have a light fixture in the ceiling too I plan on taking the light fixture down and running a scrubber throught their and all .This 4Wx6Lx9h is only temp for right now...so thats why im not cutting any extra holes its not an option at all.... well im not and electrician and all but the common sense kicks in and tells me that i can use this electical to the light im taking down and able to use the fan on this electrical white to white black to black and ground to ground or blue to white black to brown and ground to ground and the light switch to that closet will work to shut it on and off right??? oh and look at my last post anyone and tell me if you have used these

that would be Awesome! the surplus of negative ions would result in an odorless environment, meaning you wouldn't need a scrubber/air filter. and the flowing water could potentially result in cooler space, maybe reducing the need for intake/exhaust fans.

as long as the operating voltage (110 or 240v in the US ) of the fan was the same as the light fixture you replace and the wiring is correct then yeah it it'd work fine. nver seen that fan before but it looks intense.
