Cfl vs. Tubes +rep

hard to bend them tubes around a plant, sure they have their few uses when length is required... but cfl bulbs can be arranged an set-up in almost any configuration. I would prefer to use the middle picture CFL. To me the ultra-watt CFL bulbs are kinda a waste of money(imo).... well depending on how much one has!!! I like the 23/26-42watt cfl that you can get at your local grocery/department store. The bonus with these stores when buying bulbs is their wonderful exchange policies. How many times have you wanted to return that burnt-out ebay purchased bulb.... wally world would let ya!!!

But tubes don't get as hot as CFL's and they give off more lumens All around, they're more efficient. Just more costly and they don't fit into a small growbox like mine

cfl-compact fluorescent light! With a self-contained ballast in housing!! What are they more efficient for(besides lumen/temp), how so? Any examples for the OP's potential choice.

*edit
Don't get me wrong, lumens are important... as long as you can saturate them eager leaves with it!
