Operation Whoppie Kush

This is my first time making a journal and my second year of growing. Previously i have only grown two plants, this year im growing from five bag seeds. 4 whoppie kush and one unknown. This is a small personal guerilla grow in southern california and I will accept anyones input, even the critics out there, it will only help me out.

(5/24/10),
All bag seeds, all were from medical shop. One unknown and Four that are Whoppie Kush. Today, the unkown seed sprouted out of the ground in a little clay pot i have it in, and the whoppie Kush seeds just germinated today, so i placed them in small clay pots. My plan is to grow these babies for a week or two in small clay pots, then transplant them into seperate pot sizes. One 5 gallon pot, three 15 gallon pots, and one wood crate that is used for palm trees, pretty damn big.

(5/25/10),
Today i dug up soil from the ground by my house and put the soil in the crate, and two of the 15 gallon pots.(i am doing this because my grow spot is in a very rocky area with not much soil to work with, plus i am growing all organic and the soil from around here is dank.) I will finish getting more soil into the last two pots very soon, i just got really exhausted today.(hungover). The whoppie kush seeds i placed in the soil(in clay pots) are still underground, and the plant that just sprouted on 5/24/10 seems to be doing just fine.

(5/31/10)
Something ate one of my whoppie kush seedlings, but i still have three more and one unknown strain. The unknown is about two inches tall, good green color, and on the second set of serrated leaves. The whoppies sprouted out of the ground on the 29th, and are a half inch tall, with one set of small serrated leaves, they have a small tint of purple on the leaves already.(have had some cold nights lately)

Anyone have a guess on how many gallons the crate below is???? theres a small clay pot in the right corner of it...

The following are just two plants. A grape ape clone that is flowering (just over a foot tall lol) and a rhino cheese( white rhino x cheese x florida kush) that is vegging. Ive actually alrdy hung the grape ape, and found that the rhino cheese plant is a male. Im keeping the male plant just for an experiment, and its not close at all to any of my whoppie kush plants. These photos are a month old so i will show an update on the male plant soon. Probly the same day i will take new pictures of the whoppie kush operation.

This whoppie is the slowest growing of them all lol. It had one leaf chopped, from what i believe was a damn catipillar. So i sprayed all of my plants with organic omri approved neem oil .

This rhino cheese plant was hard to get a good picture of because its in the middle of a sumak(a bushy tree). I topped the plant three times. Now it has like 6 top nodes with some lower branches that are as high as the middle of the plant. I like how its really bushy like that lol. Ive also bent over most of the branches over a big period of time(like supercropping). ive also transplanted it out of the 5 gallon bucket it was in and placed it straight in the ground like a week ago:mrgreen:. ITs my only plant in the ground and im stoked about it. It also had a huge frog living at the base of it, it borrowed itself in the ground lol. but it was gone the next day:cry:.

The whoopie kushes are in these big pots, with sticks around the edge to keep rabbits away! i hate dem rabbits.

Well for the grape ape clone, i used fox farm tiger bloom when it started to bud. which was like 2 or 3 weeks into having the plant from the dispencery. i never got the chance to feed it veg nutes lol. But i only used the tiger bloom with two waterings. 1once a week. Then after the tiger bloom i just used molasses mixed with water. i used that like 3 times a week. i even watered it with straight up sugar water(just mixed in spoonfulls of sugar and mixed it with the water). Then flushed the plant the last two weeks of growing it. the soil was also used miracle grow soil from last year lol.

The rhino cheese plant however, was feed veg nutes. i used fox farm grow big(the one with a huge tomato on it). I pretty much followed the directions given on the bottle, i follwed the weak dosage mix and feed it once a week with that for 2 weeks. then started making the dosage stronger every week till i met with the "heavy dosage mix". However i dont have anymore of that, lol. so i havnt given it fox farm in over a month. But what i have been using is mollases and water. Ive also been experimenting adding vitamin c pills (5 1000 mg pills in a gallon of water) mixed with molasses and coffee grains, and its been growing very strong and nice :) i havnt seen any damage at all. This is a male plant so i really dont care what happens to it lol. The soil i used before it was in the ground when it was in the 5 gallon pot was roots organics formula 707. That soil is expensive, but very dank lol.

The whoopies ran into a little leaf problem. im pretty sure it was from the soil i was using when they were in clay pots. but the newer leaves look really healthy cause the newer roots are getting into the better soil...
