Hey everyone this is my first grow. I need advice/input

Im growing five regular plants. Im in my 4the week of veg.Temps stays between 78-82 degrees. They are bushy and about 18inches tall. I have an oscillating fan and ph stays between 5.6-6.0. I keep my ppm aroun 1150-1300.


System
DWC 20 Gallon Resevoir 1-6" airstone 1-4" airstone


Nutrients
Fox Farms Grow Big hydro and Big bloom.
Botanicare Cal Mag Plus, Liquid Karma, Aqua Shield (foliar spray),
Roots Organic Oregonismxl (for roots)
Advance Nutrients Rhino Skin, Nirvana
Superthrive

Lighting
6 blue spectrum T5's 4ft long. 18hrs on 6hrs off


Whats you guys think? Any advice? When should i start flowering? I have a 400 watt hps setup coming in the mail. My Flowering room is small like 4ftx2ft space. Should I trim my plants or pruned theem. All advice is greatly appreciated.

i would start now if u dont have much room mine are slightly smaller than yours at nearly 4 weeks and i just started the 12/12 2 days ago as of height probs,also look dam nice keep me posted on thier status heheheh

I wouldn't cut anything off of that plant, it looks very nice. If your space is limited I would go to 12/12 now. It is going to continue to grow in flower and 2 feet is pretty tight. Good lucK!

ok cool the reason why I didnt swtitch to 12/12 yet is because My hps light havent arrived and I have no bloom nutes. Should I still switch over?

i'd let your temps swing about 15-20 degrees once you switch to 12/12. i run 78-80 during the day and 63-65 at night

When you clip off the the top tip of the plant, where the new growth starts, so that the new growth will send up two stalks instead of 1, i think they call it FIM. I usually top mine very young, like when they get the 3rd set of branches. That way when i run my scrog they have been trained to grow sideways instead of upwards. I am sure you can top them still its just up to you where you want to top them at.

What kinda strain you got. you gotta keep in mind the strecth in the second week of 12/12, they can really get large.

This is my first grow so I just got some regular seeds but I do have The Church, RockLock, Iced Grapefruit, and Mind Bender sprouting. I still dont really understand topping. Do I cut the tip off the leaves? Does anybody have a diagram or a link to a video thats shows how to do this?

hey this is just a thought, but you said you have almost no room left for flower. with that hps coming you could take clones off your big plant. just when you cut a clone cut 3-4 nodes down. you look like you would get a lot of clones

so if you still have not received your hps make some clones and continue to veg till your hps gets there
this would
help with your height restriction
top your big plant if you where going to anyway
have mad clones (your shit is so big bet u could get at least 10 clones)
and the clones and your mother will flower together.


all those little clones will nicely add some serious weight to your finial harvest.

topping is very easy just cut the stem right above a "set of leafs"( called a node)

for a clone just simply cut the stem above the node about 2-4 nodes down from the top node. place clone in rock-wool or soil,cut off the tips of each leaf and keep the humidity really high close to 90%-100% untill it roots like 1 week.

This is good stuff but this is just some reg I dowann clone these plants I dont even know what strain it is. I have some other good strains thats in my dome. They should sprout anyday know plus I got a 2" Church plant. I wanna make clones of the good stuff not these regs but they are growing good though.

For topping tutorial do a search for Uncle Bens Topping Technique. Its a pretty good guide but once you do it a few times its very very simple, and also once you start to see how the leaves grow in it will all make sense.
