I have an old red spot light used previously for a snake I had a few years ago and was wondering if it could used in conjuction with my 300watt 2700k cfl. And if so what effect would it have on my 5th week flowering plants?

A good grow light produces a maximum of light and a minimum of heat, but that lamp is designed to do the opposite. Even though red color might be helpful to your plant, that light will produce way too much heats, so instead of using it for your grow you might consider getting another snake.

Creek unfortunatly its not an infared light so I won't be using the bulb however the socket with hood could have some benefits
