First Grow 2 Bagseeds Under CFL's

Hi all,

I’ve been floating around the forums for quite some time now, learning and observing from the rest of you guys. It inspired me to do a CFL grow, which has been working out decent. I started with 6 bag seeds, but ran into some beginner problems early on and now I’m down to two plants. Also the sex is unknown of both plants. I just started flowering, so I figured as my first grow I would probably need help. Also I figured I would just share my ladies with everyone:

Lighting:
4 X 13W For lower branches
3 X 26W
1 X 65W
1 X 42W
3 X 68W
~ 440 W

Air Movement:
2 X 172mm x 150mm x 51mm @230 cfm per fan (Intake, Exhaust)
1 X 7 inch fan (inside box)
Inline Carbon Filter
Air Purifier Fan (with the UV lights etc.)

Watering/Nuts.:
Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Miracle Grow Singles 24-8-16 (VEG)
Greenlight 5-20-10 (FLW)
Temps/Humidity
77-83 degrees
~50% humidity

Before Flowering:
The plants were approx. 9-12 inches tall
9-12 inched in girth

“Attempted Tactics”:
I did not top the plants, I will next grow (was too nervous!)
I did tie them down some, in the later stages (not sure if its bad for the plants this late in the game)

General Info
The plants originally were on an 18/6 time schedule, then I learned that 24/0 was “better” so I switched them to that for about 6-7 weeks. I recently switched them into flowering. Today (June 5th) is day 13 of flowering. As said above, no sex yet, but one of the plants I think might be a female, it looks like its beginning to bud some. I’m not sure what males look like whenever they mature in flowering. I know they make those little pods and females make pistils, but no sign of either yet.
I started with a rubber maid tub that was pretty legit, but upgraded to a larger stealth box for end of this grow. Obviously it is not in “stealth” mode right now due to the wires running everywhere etc. Its still a work in progress stay with me!

Here they are out of the box, and much bigger. They will stay in this closet for the next few days while I upgrade the box some.

Hello Puma, thanks for posting your grow. Lookin good to me. What do ya think a rough estimate would be for total grow time so far? Also what temp/lumens are your bulbs that you posted? I'm still just in the veg cycle with a few clones that I might toss into 12/12 after they have recouped and I have transplanted. I hope to get a thread going tomorrow. Put it off for to long... well I will be along for the ride. Cheers

A rough estimate would probably be ~5 weeks. This was my first grow and I really treated these ladies badly. I did not mean to purposely, just accidents happen.

4 X 13W @ 825 lumen x 4 @ ~2700k For lower branches
3 X 26W @ 1700 lumen x 3 @ ~2700k
1 X 65W @ 4550 lumen x 1 @ ~6500k
1 X 42W @ 2700 lumen x 1 @ ~2700k
3 X 68W @ 3900 lumen x 3 @ ~2700k
TOTAL= @ 27350 lumens (Note: the colors are an estimate, but they are in the correct flowering/veg. stage colors.)

Cransi let me know when you start your thread, will check back late with pictures if anything fun has happened.

Thanks for stopping by Werry, I hope you enjoy the future pictures .

- The hairs are really starting to come in, on a couple budding sites a couple of the hairs are about one fifth amber (the tip being the fifth), is this normal this early?

- I also have a question about LST, how often should I be doing this, and should I stop sometime into flowering? I've been re-adjusting them every day or so. Just trying to stay on top of things.

- Also a couple other updates:

- Fox Farm Nutrients are in route, I got a 3 pack off ebay it has tiger bloom, big bloom?, and one other one for $51.25

- I had an order in with Nirvana for some HAZE #1, supposed to be a strong sativa and it should be here any day, if anyone has some info on this strand please chime in

- I hear feeding molasses during flowering, whats the deal with that?
