Lighter? No way! Herb Iron FULL REVIEW

edit: effects I notice using beeline

No headaches
No dirty taste in the mouth (I thought that was burning plant material but it was the lighter)
Easier to breathe (I don't know if the negative ion thing is true but I have asthma and I can breath GREAT after a nice rip)

Also the flame is extremely easy to extinguish, and it doesn't burn hot at all. Dropped it on the carpet for a quick second and it didn't burn the carpet
I also wanted to note, these are my favorite things about the beeline as well, but let me tell you what I DONT like.

-Its a pain in the ass to actually handle and use (my opinion here)
-Im really not comfortable when the shit starts dripping little fireballs
-Your stll using a FLAME to light your herbs....kind defeats the purpose

Now....with the herb iron, I have also discovered the same thing Sr.Verde....no headaches...no terrible taste....and I dont cough and it almost seems like I can breath, easier than when I used a lighter....its just crazy!

I totally encourage you to try it...you will abandon beeline, that is when your near a plug ;)

it's only 25w heating system, i'd think that would be managed okay with a 9v.... I still wander around the house too much to be tied 8ft from the wall....

now the 'beeline' i just dont really understand, but it seems interesting
Thanks for stopping by gogrow. The problem with having a 9v, let alone a battery powered is the heat up time. It may and probably would work...but with a 5-8 minute heat up time....whats the point? I had a low wattage hakko....i think 12 or 13 watts...and it was useless.

well scientifically here . . . . . the herb iron is much more efficient than the bee-line thread that you burn to cause FULL cumbustion.

herb iron is using smoldering . . . . aka cherry . . . its literally half combustion.

therefore you wont lose 50% or so of your cannabinoids to that full combustion in the flame if you use the herb iron.

the on,ly thing the bee-line does is prevent contaminants in your lighting mechanism (butane.)
Well that too

Well, I was ok with this...but what about the next two pages discussing beeline? This isnt a comparison thread between beeline and the herb Iron guys....please dont thread jack ;)
Nah, it's not a thread jack, it's turned into a discussion you should be proud.

I am still using old fashioned lighters and vaporizers so all this info is very interesting to me.

Great review, thanks.

it is a thread jack because they are two totally different products . . .

they do completely different functions, therefore it's irrelevant and thus a thread jack...

Well...when it turned into 2 pages of discussion about beeline, it is a thread jack. Regardless, I have emphasized the differences between the two products, and its really like comparing apples to oranges here. EITHER way you go...its better than lighters.

I will still take the herb iron at home or anywhere with electricity over beeline....anyday

Its all good nig...just dont want this review getting too far off topic ya digg? 420 by the way..... :bongsmilie:
I feel ya dude, I do my best not to take away from the OP.

I tried to post what I knew about the herb iron, but you covered everything & more. So I figured I'd throw down the info I do know.

Isn't 420 here yet :P, I have a few hours still.

You are correct. Also, if you are like me, another motivation was that I lost more lighters than anyone I know. Friends would constantly take my lighters on accident. The thought of putting lighters on a chain or on a chain strapped to my hip was just too much. Bic lighters in cali are hovering around 1.50+ which is way too much for a disposable item that lasts about a week or 2. So if you think about it, your are paying money to taint the taste of the expensive meds we buy. The Herb-Iron has more stuff coming out like the Vape attachment, and some glass stuff blown here in the U.S. just for the H.I.

The H.I. goes for $69.99 and I made an RIU code "HI-RIU" which takes off $5.00 bucks.
I was a member of RIU way before I started this venture so I am on here very often. I love this site. Plus to be honest, you are almost getting 2 units for the price of one, our warranty is the only one in the industry to have a 1 year accidental damage exchange policy on top of the manufacture defect coverage for life, NO BS! If you drop it and the tip snaps off within the first year, just send it back with the original sales invoice and I send out a NEW one priority mail, NO REFURBS here. I tried to do the exact opposite of what other companies do to thier customers. I know how it feels to get the shaft on a bullshit warranty and I refuse to do that to ANY of my customers and that has more to do with my own personal code of ethics way before I even get into the topic of business ethics. So far we are getting a great welome and you guys should start seeing us at your local smoke shops. We are getting new distributors every week and we will update our store listings on our website very soon. We are also co-sponsers of this years 1st High Times Medical Cannabis Cup in San Francisco on June 19-20, hope to see some fellow RIU members there.

Thanks for the great review High.

What is the thing where the herb iron is inserted into that glass thing?
It is a glass elbow that makes it so you can vape out of anything with a bowl piece. Imagine it like a glass maccaroni that funnels hot air onto your herbal mix, there is a small hole you can see on the top of the glass elbow that allows cool air to enter, then the hot air goes past the ceramic heating element and out the glass nipple part that is in the bowl piece of that bubbler. This will help many of the sick people that cant handle a coughing fit, it will also make it so that anyone can vape with the glass they already own. Vapes are great but some are very expensive. I will make a video to show you guys how well it works later on today or tomorrow.

If you'd like to advertise your product here, you need to pay for the space, otherwise it is SPAM..... there's no "threadjacking" going on here, it's still completely on topic, comparing the various other ways of lighting your weed than a butane flame.... It was started about one product, it evolved to discuss all.... welcome to a forum ;)

to get back on topic.....

I hear you on the whole probably 5-8min warm up time if it were battery powered, but some people wander around the woods and toke the same bowl for an hour.... people like that could wait 5min before a hit.... we wont shake that bad ;)

as for the 'beeline', I still dont see what is so innovative about using a lighter, to light the wick, that you then use to light your weed.... seems like an unneeded step in there.

I guess we can begin here...you know as well as I do, im not selling shit. If a product is sent to me and it sucks, im going to say so. As for the herb iron, I stand behind the product because it works.

Again, your really going to look back on all the posts and not call it a thread jack? Is the title of my thread "Whats your favorite way of not using butane?" No. Its my review of a product. I dont mind talk of beeline...but shit it was getting out of hand

Good point....I may have to agree here...but I would probably rather stop for 5 minutes for some solar rips (thanks poplars) before I use a handheld soldering Iron. Also...if you guys can find me a battery powerd soldering iron with a ceramic tip, I will do a full comparison against the herb iron for you :D

 Agreed. I enjoy the taste and idea of beeline....but the wax drip is straight up dangerous...If only they had a way to have the beeline in a handheld container....and you could pull it out a little at a time...might be a little easier to handle....who knows.

Either way...good discussion guys...talk about whatever you want...I guess it doesent matter at the end of the day...its just a forum
