Grow Room Project

Hi,

Newb from a place and I need help with a grow room i'd like to begin working on.
The room is about 8 FT [H] x 10 FT [W] x 2 FT [D] and I'd like to know in which ways I can fully utilize this space.

First step will be to fortify the doors to insure less natural Light entry.
Then I'll add custom shelving to help accommodate the overhead materials.
Also the carpet will be raised, hardwood lain, and the windows/ walls covered.



The budget is about 1.5k

hm thats a decent budget, where would u be venting into another room/window/attic?

That would be a great setup for a 1000W HPS on a track system. Just have it moving back and forth across the 10'. You could build that yourself easy. Get your self an air cooled hood for it and another fan for the carbon filter and you could fit 8 plants in 5+ gallon buckets. Or you could split it down the middle. 4 plants in veg 4 plants in flower, get a 600 MH for veg and a 600 HPS for flower.

Attic, we're cutting a hole in the roof above my room and making a direct/filtered venting ( to air) system.

Firstly, Thank you for this suggestion. After a bit of research I chose to go with a Coco medium and have already bought my lighting equipment.

Which brings me to my next question, Which is :

I've chosen my medium, given that what system would you use:
Just soil (medium) /light or an hydroponic/ aeroponic system?

For the Veg/ Flowering cycles, how should I set up my spaces?
