what about just an air scrubber? does that have anything to do with those 2 negative reactions somehow if i have no air coming in or going out (just random air coming in and out when i manually enter the grow room is 4x 4 x 8

u sound like you know what your talking about so i thought id ask:cool: im setting up my first grow room
thanks

ps dont mean to hijack thread dude, my setup is similar to yours so im curious to how this will work out for you , what are your temps with the light on ? also do you have a light hood or anything to cool it down?

I would bring the other fan on top, but don't use it as exhaust.. Use it as intake still and just pass air through the bulbs in...... Fans would be aligned with the deal.

i edited post i meant to say i got two exhuast fans on top already
do u think i need to add a passive intake along with the one active intake
btw i have scrounged so many computers and ripped them up to get my fans for my 2 boxes i want to place them where they do most good
i have 2 smaller fans off processors what if i mount two on sides level with bulbs intaking and blowing on lights and use the big one somewhere else
i dont doubt u im sure u know more then i ever will but never heard of intaking on top anyone care to share

i run 6 pc fans on my growroom vent, using a 250w cfl in my wardobe builds heat up so much i had to make a perspex heatshield to deflect the heat, make sure you have the same amount of air flow coming in as going out. good luck

more air coming in than going out will cause negative airflow, more air going out than coming in can starve and stress the plants!

thanks so what do u recomend just add another passive hole for intake?
and save the fan for another box.or use it to make a aircooled hood

you'll always need a constant flow of fresh air, the smaller the room the less flow you'll need, there are ways to work out how much you need, this glorious forum will have a thread on it somewhere
