That right there is not correct my friend. Too many variables in the way people grow to make a broad statement like that. For example. I grow 16 plants from clones in 2gal grow bags under a 400 watt hps. Flipped as soon as they have roots, they usually yield on the average 16-22 g. Thats 252 grams or about 9 ozs.i believe its accurate to say you wanna give your plants about 100w of hps light each..therefore a 1000w hps = 10 plants...a 600w = 6 plants and so on.

Ok. I'm getting around 9 oz in a 2ft by 4ft space under an HPS 400 watt as stated. I think our production is about the same considering your using a 1000watter.
