how many plants would be good for dat light
you would be better off spending a little more money. I did the same thing and baught something off of ebay and was completely unsatisfied because of the hot spots the reflector gave off!! Then ended up spending more money on some effecient lighting equipment that's backed by a warranty. Imagine being in the middle of a perfect grow and having a ballast take a shit on you and not have the money to replace at the exact second you need it. Go with an electronic ballast at the least, a hood that can be vented with a glass cover and plan on needing to vent that light as well if you wanna control your temps for optimal growth unless you have alot of grow space and arent worried about smell.

My advice "invest" go to your local hydro store for a complete light setup that can be air cooled. They usually give awesome discounts if you spend an extra couple bucks

i only have 2 400 watt light setup's. The total cost for getting everything i needed piece by piece was well over $2000 . But since then paid for itself twice and counting..lol
