Does any one have any ideas. Or can anyone steer me in the right direction. I need to set up a basement that can handle a load of 15,000 watts. For example if someone had a finished basement and they included a bar, which needs a lot of outlets in one particular area that could handle high wattage appliances and what not.

do you need 15,000 watts continuously, or just the capability. For instance, I can run 4 1000ws on a seperate 30 amp breaker (220v of course), but run them on a flip flop to get the equivilancy of 8 lights,with 4 lights running 24/7 and both rooms on 12/12.
I got another easy answer for you. Research.
1. Look at your main breaker in the house and take a look at what your MAIN breaker's rating in amps.
Your main breaker and main feed may not be capable of running 15,000 watts on top of your household without running a new line from the street.
2. Assuming all is good at the breaker and feed line (highly unlikely) you have 2 options.
-Add a sub panel(best way)
- add breakers to the main panel(if there is enough space) and directly wire outlets
To add a sub panel you simply add the desired size breaker into the main panel, mount the sub panel in desired location, run the appropriate size wire into the sub panel(according to breaker size and req), then add breakers into the sub panel to wire your outlets off.
Breaker size and configuration all depends on what you are trying to do, how much you want to spend, and how simple you want to keep it.
