I watched about 5 minutes off Kick-Ass last night.. it was pretty good.. I'l be watching the rest of it tomorrow night. Got more Bones to watch tonight

so topping lol i just topped the last three but noticed a difference between the plants i've topped already and the ones i hadn't. the leaves on the topped ones are kinda shiny and limpish compared to the ones that havent been topped, which just look like normal healthy green leaves. might be a nute thing tho, will get some pics

Hey kmoo. Was thinking about your cookies the other day as i ate everything in my house. Wishing i had some. The first pic looks great but the other 2 seem to have weird leaf growth. Is that usual when topping as it stresses the plant a little?

yeah thats why i posted them! i've had leaves go a little funky like that before but it was because they needed a little more water and had a bit of heat stress. i know heat stress deffo isn't the problem so yeah - shall wait for opinions. the first one is lovely tho isn't she! getting nice n big

haha yeah i've been meaning to do a batch for lace after eighty gave me such good reviews lol still spending most of my time on the couch sick with a flu but should be better soon!

Hi Kmoo... I don't think the leaf stress is caused by topping... Due to the healthy colour of the leaf I don't think its nute based, but it might be a little overwatered??? I'm only guessing here though, I tried to grow in Coco once and I drowned my plants, I remember them looking a little like that... Mine were much worse mind you...

Otherwise they look fine, I am really liking what the cyco is doing for them... You've really made me rethink my nutes... After I finish all the Canna bottles I am investing in 15 bottles of cyco...lol....

yeah it's a lot in the range isn't it! i got an email from cyco recently and the flower a&b will be available very very soon - love the stuff tho! mmm nah can't be overwatering, if anything they've had less but yeah, it can be tricky with coco - coz i grow in the same stuff all the time it isn't much of a bother after i calibrate lol but yeah i didn't think it was nute related either, i'm sure brother ninj will know lol

Hey Kmoo, ur plants are definitely suffering the symptoms of an over-watered plant.. Though u may have cut back on their actual amount of water, the problem is still there, so we must look @ other causes..

Look @ it this way - an overwatered plant looks the way it does not because of the amount of water, but because of the oxygen content of the solution or the amount of oxygen the roots can utilise (this is why DWC growers don't usually suffer overwatering).

My educated guess is that u mix ur feed in a 20L bucket and use it up slowly over the week??
If so then u are depleting ur water of oxygen as it sits there waiting 2b used.

How do we fix it now?
Add some Hydrogen Peroxide. The H2O2 mixture will ensure rapid root recovery.
Some people say not to add it to soil as it degrades beneficial bacteria, but @ this point ur plants aren't benefitting from that bacteria anyway, so we'll fix this problem & worry about that if it occurs..

How do we stop it happening in the future?
Add an airstone 2 ur Bucket mix in order to increase the 'O2' levels.
..Or make a smaller mix that will be used within a day or 2.

gosh darlz that's so weird coz i have a res of ph'd water and only add nutes to it on each watering, grrrr lol will add more H202 and hope they come good. can't believe it's overwatering man lol what a bummer

These may sound stupid, but i'm trying to rule things out to help u:
Do u re-PH ur mix after u add the nutes? If so, is it always exactly the same PH? E.g 6.0 everyday?? (PH fluctuations can cause similiar symptons..)
Is ur Res airated?

I would add all the nutes 1st up so that the plant is getting the same thing for each period.. They love predictability.

oh yeah i know we will darlz, it's not the worst thing that's happened to a grow it's just a bit of an x file eh lol

oh they get the exact same nutes, i'm talkin i sit my arse down with a nurofen kids medicine measure thingie everytime and measure to the ml, i'm very anal lol

and yeah it fluctuates a little but not enough to cause the weird whitish shading that ph issues usually front as, the trainwreck is showing a little bit of that but i expect a little when i transplant.

i might wait a day or two and flush and deffo add the H2o2 to a larger ppm. it's just funny how it's only the ones that were topped tho hey, the other girls are super healthy looking, the blueberry has been a delight to grow so far

I use the kids dimetap cup for my big nutes and the nurofen pen for small mls....lol... We are such mothers.... LMFAO

How do you clone Kmoo? Are you a humidy crib girl or an aero/bubble cloner????

And yes I have three dimetapp cups for the plants and three for the kids... Don't think they'd do real well on Rhizotonic, cannazym and Vega and Flores....lol....
