i think i killed my plant =(

this is my first grow and the seed recently just popped out of the ground. b4 i left my house, i put the plant back like 2 inches away from my clf bulb. 3 hours latr i checked on them and the stem looks brown now. is this normal or did i killed it?

Not sure. You really don't want to put young plants any closer to the bulbs then you need to, even when they are low heat bulbs like CFL's. It doesn't take much heat to brown out a young sprout that hasn't had a chance to develop much of a root system, and even without the heat the intensity of the light can be more then they can handle at that stage.

yeah yeah don't worry about it.. the stem of a newly sprouted seed generally turns deep red/brown so this is normal you're doing fine dude..

I think she'll be fine bro. Just make sure you don't drown the young seedling/sprout with too much water ya dig? It'll drown.. plus cause other problems.. like root rot.. or could even cause 'stem rot' which I won't get into.. because it looks like you have enough to worry about.. or.. I mean it seems like your already stressed out..

Also, stems, I've had stems that were brown; green; and even purple.. so I think your plant there is just fine.

Just keep an eye on it.
