First Grow - CFL's - LST - Bagseed - Rubbermaid Stealth Box - Low budget - *PICS*

Hi all. I recently built a stealth growbox, and I am growing one plant with 4 26 watt CFL's (currently all are 6100k color temp, and I will move to 2700k when flowering starts.)

I wanted to post some pictures of my plant at a day before 2 weeks old, (she'll be two weeks old tomorrow)

How is the growth looking? Any ideas if this is Indica or Sativa? Any nute deficiencies apparent yet?

When should I start feeding her nutes? 3 weeks I've read?

I have Shultz's 10-15-10 plant food, I know it's not ideal, but it's better than nothing I guess..

I plan on doing an LST grow with this plant to meet spacial requirements.. I'll start training her late next week probably. I feel like she is REALLY short and really packing in the nodes considering the amount of leaves she has. I've been keeping the CFL's at a close distance for the entire grow (within 3 or 4 inches).. From soil to top she's about 2.5" tall..

what's your light cycle?

I'm currently using 18/6 with a timer. Before the timer (the first 3 or 4 days) I was doing 24/0, but since then I notice a big difference with the rest period at night, it seems to be very helpful in speeding up her growth

I'm a newbie but she looks great as far as I can tell. My plant is about the same age and I've been worried recently that she may be a little stunted also. It looks about the same size as yours.

K guys here's some shots of the stealth grow.. I've edited all of the colors in the image to protect my anonymity. (except the picture of the INSIDE of the grow box, I've changed the color of the walls, floors, boxes, everything, to make sure if someone sees them that would recognize the area, they don't jump to any conclusions.)

here's what the inside looks like.. I had to go duct tape crazy to stop light leakage...


and here's what behind looks like with the timer, surge protector, and CPU power supply powering my fans..

The airflow is efficient because the room is air conditioned, so with all that stuff on top temps get up as high as the low 80's in the box, then at night it's down in the low 70's..

Haha yeah, I didn't have any spray adhesive at the time, and this whole grow has to be kept under wraps.. I tried using Mod Podge (basically Elmer's Glue, with a brush) to glue the foil to the container, but it peeled at the seams, which is why I had to put the tape down, light was escaping and making my box glow

I'll probably ditch this box when this plant is done and move on to a better one... i've learned some pluses and minuses of growing like this already for sure

As for my avatar, it's just a picture that I've seen floating around the net for years that I really liked.. I've never found it large enough to be a background unfortunately.. search google for trippy tree man, and you'll see how I found it

damn , it would be pity to see that 'lady' become a boy, if you are going with bag seed , you should at least have 3 plants , I started with 7 bag seeds recently and only 3 were females, anyway great setup , wish you best luck !

My first grow started with 6 plants and only ended up with one girl.. it sucked.. but was a good learning process.

Yeah I only had 1 seed at the time, I have 5 more now and they're all germinating.. I'm hoping to get them in now and I can start them all flowering at the same time...

Thanks so much.. I can't wait to LST her and see how the side growth develops.. I'm going to transplant her tomorrow and start to strap her down on Wednesday or Thursday of this week I think.. I'm going to start giving her a light dose of nutrients tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes...

After a transplant, should I give nutrients right away, or wait a day or two for the shock of transplant to wear off?
