A fertilization question Keep it simple

I wanted to try a new approach, "k.i.s.s. everything" (keep it simple stupid) My mentor in military school was a recon marine named Corporal Molina. In some of our training exercises we would go days without sleep and you had to tell yourself to kiss everything because you may not always be thinking clearly and that can slow you down so you have to not try to overcomplicate things in your impaired state. anyways..

I was wondering what you think my results will be if I simply use bloom terra 11*31*15 every other water through flower and flush with molasses?

I am tired of trying to get fancy with micro's and mixing all the different fox farm stuff.

Is the complete fertalizer bloom terra sufficient?

I don't want suggestions of new kinds of fertilizers to try please k.i.s.s approach remember will it work well?

I am growing in a complete soil in 5 gallon pots. high quality soil, well ph buffered.

lucas formula works really well.. i use it myself. I can't really find any information on supernatural's bloom terra, but judging by the npk of 11-31-15... it is close to the 1-3-2 npk that is most desired for flowering in soil. I would say as long as it contains all 16 of your essential nutrients, it has an npk of close to 1-3-2, and u use the right dosages to get a good ppm and ec... everything should work out alright for you.

P.S. some nutrients you may look into as well. Jack's classic "dynamic duo" comes with an all purpose 20-20-20 for veg and beginning of flower and a 10-30-20 for alternating in beginning of bloom and use in later bloom weeks.
Lucas formula with flora nova bloom series is a good solution too. Also, flora nova has ph buffers in it which is nice for someone that wants to "kiss" because it's basically an all in one lucas formula in a bottle.
Both of these as well as the traditional lucas formula with gh bloom and micro work well. There are a lot of more simple easy to use ferts out there. Just take into consideration whether the ferts have all of the 16 essential nutrients and close to the ideal n-p-k ratios for veg and bloom.

No problem dude, also forgot to mention flushing with molasses is fine. When i use molasses, i will use it up to the last day or two and then use plain water for the last couple waterings. Good luck with your grow!

the lucas formula says its for hydroponics and they have one for coco. say I was going to try to use it, why don't they make it for soil growers? Do you have something to recommend for non hydro growers?

I've read in some places that you can use it for soil, hydro, or coco. Also seen people use lucas in soil, it's definately more aimed at hydro IMO and i use it for passive hydro (when i use active hydroponics, i use dyna-gro nutes, the foliage pro is amazing) . Lucas formula is also meant to be used with RO filtered water that is close to 0 ppm, if you don't have that, then it's not really worth doing it because the amounts of minerals in your water will throw things off... mainly calcium. If i were in soil again i would go with the jack's classic dynamic duo for soil. It's only like 16-20 bucks for the two containers of ferts and it's usually something you can find locally. If you do the dynamic duo, you ideally use the all purpose all through veg and into the first few weeks of flower to provide the nitrogen needed for the stretch. After that you switch to the bloom or alternate the all purpose with the bloom until the last 2 weeks where you would flush. Just like any other fertilizer, you want to start slow with the Jack's classic and work your way up to see what the plants can stand. Also, usage can depend a lot on the soil you use. Some soils will get you most of the way through veg. Whatever you use, make sure it's nice and aerated. It's better to water more frequently than have to deal with root problems, salt buildup, or soil being to packed with poor drainage. Sorry, i'm starting to ramble. I guess my point is that lucas formula will work in soil, but there are more potential problems associated than using it with hydro. If i went back to soil, i would use jack's classic again.

yeah man I hear you I am asking these questions because I can only water every week or so I am in 5 gallon pots and thats how long they take to dry out... So the life of the plant I get to feed like 2 times so that makes each time much more important I dont want to end up with 1 ounce per plant yields that would just make me throw up all the time and money I have invested.

I was using dr earth soil so it was great until now it is just now needing feeding and I am day 40 flower or so. I went ahead and fed my Kandy kush plant with the bloom terra it says 2 tsp. per gallon I used one. Hope that is enough food. I just know I am underfeeding everything:(

Now I am rambling

I use hydro nutes in my coco. works fine. the nutes I use seem to be great but lack cal/mag for growing mj. It wont hurt to fush with molasses but it wont help either. Molasses helps the microbes in the soil and should be used the whole grow.

You will know if you are underfeeding them or need to feed them because you will start to see deficiencies. Remember, it's just as bad to over feed as it is to underfeed and it's harder to fix over feeding or nute burn as opposed to a small underfeeding problem. Just keep them green. If they are nice and green you are doing your job.
