Use an electric crock pot.... (10ltr slow cooker) - fill it with water place on low and let it go = Cheap mans humidifier ;)

Nice thread by the way SL ! - one act of random kindness a day :)

we call em crock pots in the US, think it has to do with the ceramic lining?

There you go :) I thought so... not sure of why though , but yes ceramic lining ONLY is a "crock" pot.

Back to point - Another way is to change your system entirly.. hehe = ebb&flow with 1000W always has best humidity, then use small fan over table also.

I think that about rounds the options...lol

Yes they are both autos, do you by any chance know another user or resource that may be reliable or at least have some limited experience on the subject?

Thanks alot for your time!

Seedlings do not need a lot of light, you can use cfl's,,, flouros or T5's at the seedling stage you want 6500K spectrum and you want to keep them close enought 2 to 3 inches to keep the babies from stretching

I would go with at least 3, 23 watters, 6500K for 4 or 5 seedlings
and home depot does not have a lot of what most would say was good soil, but some have had good luck with Shultz's soil from there, just stay away from anything with moisture control or time released ferts

my only other choices are wal mart and canadian tire for soil.. what is better potting soil or "garden" soil?

Hey Kaleo

did you get some epsom salts?
no i didnt. i probably can afford some by digging through my couch for change, but i want to know how it will effect my PH

i really need a meter Ph up and down and maybe some good npk grow food

i cant afford all that now. i started 2 more seeds tonight because i think this baby is doomed

i just realized that its like a month old and doing really poorly. it should be like twice the size

I would go with Espoma, but don't think walmart carries it (I know Lowes does) don't anything about Canadian Tire?

but anything with a low NPK and no moisture control or time release food will work

IME walmart usually only has MG

if your lucky you could find some scotts promix, which isnt as bad as MG

Sorry to hear that, I don't get fancy with PH testing in soil just use the aquarium drops from walmart, soil properly mixed buffers the ph very well, good flush once a month keeps it good (in most cases) there are actually very few ph problems in soil

your problem to me sounded like a def or a lockout, doubtful it was a ph problem

im almost certain it is lockout due to too low of PH

in soil cal and mag are not absorbed with a PH under 6.5. adding the urine probably greatly lowered my PH and i think that is the culprit
