Dammit my Checker PH Pen must have went out. This morning is a calibration day for me and the pen wont calibrate to 7.01 it wont go below 7.22. It calibrates with 4.01 fine.. I called them and am waiting for a call back the thing is only 3 months old... This makes me very nervous. I am wondering if my PH is off... I dont have 50-100 bucks for a replacement..

Here are some pics from today to show any progress... I am concerned now that my PH may be off; what should I do if I can only get my meter calirated at 7.01 to 7.25 and 4.01 to 4.01... Can I just guestimate where its at based on these numbers til I get a new probe or something?

Also notice the leaves with the green vines and yellowing. Whats that all about.. Is it too light or to much nutes?

PPMs are at about 505ish, three part GH nutes 3-6-9 ml / gal

Thanks

Talked to them they are sending a replacement probe as soon as I fax or email them my receipt... Not good I think I will be without a PH pen for at least a week =-(

I added into my res (30 gal) 18 tsp of MagiCal to help with the leave yellowing. I am not sure if this is a good idea but others were saying that my PPMs are low and to bump them up a bit with Nitrogen and Magnesium. My MagiCal has 2-0-0 It has Nitrogen Magnesium and Iron. My PPMs are now at 595. I Change the res out again on Friday at that time I will make a nute batch with PPMs 650-800? Sound about right?

Thanks BL

Sounds good. I wouldn't chase the yellowing to much at this stage. Some of it might be normal at this stage and some might be cuz they needed more in the beginning and now you have what you have to some degree. You approach seems fine thou. Go ahead and given them the magical and bump up the nutes some. Make sure your PPM tool is set correctly and using the proper scale. Also at some point soon the plants will slow there growth and just start to fatten up. I believe at this time they might not need as much ferts as they have up until now. So at some point you should start to back off on the PPMs as they don't need as much as their growth slows as they ripen.

I got to take a couple pics yesterday with the lights out. Most them are blurry cause it was dark and the fan was on and it was my phones camera. Anyways you can see more green and the buds a little bit different from the HIDs. Day 36 :weed:

I was thinking not this grow.. My freshman grow.. Dont wanna screw things up and wanna work on dialin in some grows.. I am using that aggressive bloom right now. Basically I am using 2.5-8-16 ml/gal of the 3 part right now. My ppms were up to 780 at first but have leveled off to 750s. I also started feeding 4 x daily. I am gonna use this for the next 6-8 days. Then finish up with 7-10 days of ripening and 4-8 days of flushing... No gravity. When I top this res off (the agg bloom ) I am going to add back with magical and awesome blossom additives to keep PK levels sustained for the last week of aggressive blooming. Pretty much the final stretch.

Looking very good. You must be happy with how it's all turning out. :)

I have a trip planned the week I am to harvest :( not sure if I cut before I leave or wait till I get back. Got two weeks to figure it out. I wanted to go a little farther this time so I'll see if they'll wait for me to come back.

Ohh yeah I am pleased I doubted myself if they would ever recover. So I have 17 plants remaining.. 5-8 of them are 18-24 inches and 6-7 of them are 24-36 inches. All but 2 have what looks like alot of flowers on the stalks even the small ones plus they are frosty with trichomes. I am VERY much looking forward to making some hash with the bubble buckets. I LOVE hash.

I am also very much looking forward to starting my next grow. I am sooo stoked about that. Today is day 39 or 40, just 20-21 left. I will flower for 60 more days if the trics dont show me; i am waiting til i see 40% milky and amber is that right? I cant wait sheesh and green my own, no more wasting money one green, I love my smoke and spend alot to much on it.

Bout what 5-6 more weeks and ill be smoking how long you let the sheesh castings dry for and whats a good method for drying them?

Yea, I'm not sure about the amber trics, definitely milky but not clear trics. I let the trimmings and frosty leaf dry in an open paper bag or large flat bin or box. they dry fairly fast. Grind them a bit and freeze them before using the bubble bags.

Hey guys I have a question or perhaps a concern. Today is week 6 for flowering day 42! I havent seen the ladies show much differences in the last 10 days. Are they focusing on root development or just done growing?

many thanks

thats what I mean I havent seen that much growing, fattening ect in the last 10 days they look the same to me of course slightly different. I am patient just curious.

Do they actually fatten up or just put trichs on? Or probably both?

Hows the Global (Cooling) Warming thread I aint checked it out in a long time. Your the fucking master on there! Loved it

Thanks BL

That sounds about right if you can push it that far. a lot of the time the 6 - 8 week time has to do with it being commercially ready and if your looking for the max turn around (harvests per year). If you looking to do it correctly and to get some great finished product then it's best to be patient. It all depends on the strain of course. Sativas will take longer.

You getting close? I don't know if mine will wait till I get back from my trip. I think they are going to have to. Bad timing for a trip :( I guess I could cut and hang before I go. But that's a lot of work I don't have time for at the moment. Dilemma....
