I prefer pinching out the fresh top growth so that even if I don't get a good FIM the plant is topped. It far more a win win compared to just cutting through the stem between established nodes. As for LST, when you want to keep plant numbers down it makes sense to get the most out of your plants. If you're not doing a scrog then it makes sense to LST and pinch and bend as much as possible.

Anyways, I've really not done much.. Single cola lollypops which is dead easy but not wot ur after, other then that I've supercropped so the main cola and 2 sets of branches below would all be at the same height.. And grown straight natural..

I suppose the point low of a plant count garden is to manipulate the plant canopy into taking up as much light space as possible, which does mean I'll have to do a little work., like fim, lst..

Yeh like I said, less plants means u gotta manipulate the plant canopy to accomodate the light..
I've just always grown a shitload of smaller plants to take up the space..

Great grow kmoo.....you and laceygirl got it goin' on....
I've tried topping and fim .....both plants did wel and will do both again next grow. I fimmed a pineapple express and got 4 main colas....topped a Pure and it grew like an upside down umbrella.....about 20 small colas, beautiful........
both are much less maintenance than lst......

Totally agree with you.... And I'd love the free bong Streets...lol ;;;; :-)

LST is super easy if you use a screen... About 2 - 4 weeks of pushing them in the right direction and you're done... Then let nature do the rest...:-)

right lace, i'm gonna top half and fim the other half - see what happens lol there's 6 blueberry, and yeah the screen thing is on my to do list, but i am takin baby steps ;)

streets - which state you in?? and you gotta admire a gal with moxie lol i do genuinely appreciate all opinions, so i'm gonna do a grow off haha, but until i saw lace's opinion i wasn't really considering topping

Let them get a little bigger Kmoo, then top them, you can turn the tops into clones, if you let them get big enough... When you top, it feels like you are cutting away half the plant but it really does work and turn the plant into a bushy bitch....:-) And Uncle Ben, who ideas I steal regularly, has been growing for 20 years....He also knows a shitload about Marijuana botany...:-)

If I was a chick I'd be living in a house where I could grow pot too. Having sqm and an electricity account is hardly proof of skill or knowledge.. Not that I don't love your garden :D

FIM stands for Fuck I Missed as it originated from people incorrectly topping their plant. The term became popular because the act of "missing" the top yielded superior results. Does it always work the best for all plants and circumstances? It's hard to make this definitive statement, and kmoo has made the right choice by giving both a try, I'm quite sure that she'll do well eithe way.

Kmoo, the plants are ready to FIM right now, and when I've topped Ive followed UBs instructions. As lace said, he knows his shit!

haha it's all good :) people dig different things, i still havent found my personal preference yet :)

i've just made a ridiculous amount of practice baked goods lol profiteroles flippin everywhere lol i'm gonna smoke out and watch fringe in bed, night lovelies
