Well im a sophmore in the industry, this is just about my second grow (not including growing from seed to find out sex and what not...) My first hydro attempt, the first one was in soil and somewhat succesfull minus the fact that it was some shit due to the seeds being bag seeds.
Im working with 18 Gallon DWC buckets with six 6" baskets in each. hydroton pebbles as my medium and Canna Aqua as my nutes.
Ive got 3x 400 watt Hps air cooled out, in my flower room which is a closed off closet were im using about 5x8 feet, so 35-40 feet squared...
My moms are in 18 gallon rubbermaid DWC buckets 4 moms to a bucket, 3 buckets of moms total, for a grand total of 12 moms and 3 different strains (four of each for cloning purposes) all of them under 6, 4' T8 lights... (a 4'x2' lowbay T8 floro light)
I have a homemade 18 gallon rubbermaid 30 site cloner with a 550 GPH water pump and 20 360 degree misters which thus far has proven a garunteed 100% success rate, with a red and blue LED square glowpanel over it plus a 23 watt CFL
My veg area is also a 18 gallon rubbermaid bucket with 550 GPH water pump and 360 misters (exact same as the cloner) its a 30 site as well due to the fact that it will only be holding my babies for 2 weeks due to the SoG style of growing (perpetual harvests and what not) It has a 300 watt equivalent CFL about 2-3 inches over the tops of em'
My plan is to harvest four 6 plant buckets, in other words 24 clones in 4 18 gallon DWC buckets every 2 weeks... basically making it one of four "trays" in my SOG system. I am planning to have a total of 16 rubbermaid buckets 6 clones each bringing the full closet flowering room to 96 plants, harvesting 24 every 2 weeks.
My questions are:
is this too many to put under that amount of light?
if so how many should i do
what would be an expected yield for each set... i was planning about 12-16 oz.
is any one else doing a DWC with Canna nutes, and if so any problems with pythium or mold/algea
is any one running or are planning to run a similar sog system
