How long til they show sex ?

I have 4 plants that have been in veg for 4 weeks. They Just Had they're first 12/12 cycle.

How long (approx.) til they show sex ?

Unless they came from clone, they still need to mature. 8 weeks of veg is what is needed. I normally have them show pistils in 4 days, but I also wait until they are good and mature in veg.

Going 12/ and immature will lower your yields and potency. But many do it and come out happy at the end.

If you have space issues, 4 weeks is just fine. I did the same and my Afghan Kush exploded (check out my link).

My plant showed sex in a week.

Males show sex faster than females

But is it okay to flower at this point ?

after the first cycle theire is already alot more growth

...if you put them in flower as a premature plant, it can take upto 2-3 weeks to see preflowers. Male plants show signs slightly sooner than female. < that's a tongue twister , LOL. Good Luck.

I've had some start show after 7 days. But most of the ones i've seen were closer to the 2 week mark. Males always show first.

Yes definitely it's okay. Just keep the 12/12 cycle going.

What people normally do is get the plant to veg 1/3 of the final height you want. During flowering, the plant will grow another 2/3 of the final height you want.

Take that into account and veg accordingly.

Since you started your flowering light cycles, I suggest that you keep it that way.

...stack the short plant ontop of something to make your canopy even.

it depends on the strain.. most of mine take 6-7 weeks to sho sex. u can put them on 12-12 to determine sex, and put them back in veg if you want to grow them bigger.

Thats what I do, I use books and other pots upside down, whatever it takes to make a even canopy.

well one is getting a little higher than others so i started LSTing it by taking the top and bending it to the side and tied it down at the same time side branches can develop

Very good, I have had done that many times and have had large buds grow straight up. Just make sure the limb does not get to heavy once loaded with buds. I have used sticks to hold the limbs that where lstd

Have you not determined the pre sex ? look at the 6th or 7th node where the leaf stem meets the branch.

Their finishing their 3rd 12/12 cycle at 11:00 tonite in 1:30 hours
Then lights open at 11 tomorow
