I currently have a 2000w flower room, and am getting ready to put together a parts list for a 6000w flower room expansion.

Does anyone have a good answer to what the absolute best spacing between 1000w lamps should be ,to get the very most space in my room that is receiving the most evenly distributed light? (is that a run-on or what)

i just looked everywhere in Jorge's bible, and tried to search on the forum, but could find anything that answered the question.

thanks for your help.

I really depends on the type of reflector you are using and how they distribute the light. Some manufacturers claim that 1 1000W lamp will illuminate an 8'x8' area. While I have also seen on some websites of hydro stores that it is only adequate for a 4'x4' area. checkout http://www.sunlightsupply.com
in the reflectors area and on the second page click on the Adjust-a-wing reflector. from there click on the pdf file for product tips. this is a layout recommended for their reflectors, but this will give you a good idea of how to evenly space them for maximum potential.

The only other thing I could suggest would be to get a light meter and take some readings from what you think will work and make whatever adjustments to your light placement then.:bigjoint:

excellent advice. Im using Magnum xxxl's. They seem to be working great so far. I got a killer deal on a 12" fantech fan, so i use it to cool the lights and i have been down to about 8 inches with no leaf or bud burn. im just trying to find out the best distance between lights Pumert. you can see my grow room build and first grow op here, Medical Grow op, NEWBIE!!! so far so good. Comments are welcome, you can see how my room it s lttle small for hoods that big which is one reason why i want to build a new room. and the others is cause i want more lights and more medicine.
