Hey fellas...
u guys know anything about the round tubular cfl lights that are found in bathroom overhead fixtures...

they are basically two 23 w tube bulbs wrapped around what appears to be a ballast.. is this a useful piece of equipment? or a waste of time...

thanks people

not at the moment but if no one else responds i guess ill be taking them...

do tube lights produce more light than an equal bulb of the corkscrew style..

like is a 23 tube greater than or less than a 23w corkscrew
:bigjoint:

if you had a 40w tube and a 40w cfl the tube would give you 40w over 4' the cfl would give you 40w in 4". cfl would be the stronger light. at least more power in a smaller place.

alright thats straight... so would i be better off ditching the tubes and getting some corkscrews or it doesnt really matter? pretty much equal?

atm I run 2-100w cfls 3-42cfl's and a 4' tube. I like the tubes for seedlings and clones, first few weeks. imo the more flour light the better.
