is dutch passion best place to obtain white widow seeds? if not whats your oppinion?

GreenHouse seeds has a good White Widow strain, but of course most people will tell you that the original is better and that would be BLACK WIDOW from Black Label seeds, it is the original that the guy who used to breed for GH seeds has now.
People say he like the best breeder around but now he's with Black Label, or Shantibaba I think.
Both these WW are good.

the high is both stoney and racey but more of a sativa side
the classic white widow high is mostly all "racey"

The original White Widow was created by Shantibaba while part owner of Green House Seeds.

While there he also created White Rhino.

He and Neville, as in Neville’s Haze, sold their portions of Green House Seeds and they left taking their genetics with them and Shantibaba opened Mr. Nice Seeds and Neville, Howard Marks (Mr. Nice) and another breeder whose name eludes me presently work together.
　
Shantibaba renamed his original White Widow Black Widow. Black Widow did not come from or have anything to do with Black Label Seeds. Shantibaba renamed his White Rhino Medicine Man. Neville left the name of Neville’s Haze the same.

Just finished running GH White Widow Fem seeds. Had three different friends grow out cuts from a 10-pack of widow fems. 1 guy did aeroponic, 1 did hydro (rockwool) and 1 did it in soil with organic nutes. All three turned out HORRIBLE. Terrible taste (like bathroom sanitizer), and near-zero potency. After a painfully long 11-week flowering period (buds didn't seem to ever want to finish), total waste of time. BEWARE and STAY AWAY. Fucking horrible.

I've seen pics of the green house and the dp WW grown side by side. I have to say they look pretty damn similar. The grower in the thread said they had about the same amount of potency too. It wouldn't shock me if DP just licensed Green house's genetics. A lot of DP's and Green house's genetics are licensed out from third parties or other breeders.

I'm growing G13 Labs' version, it's only 12 days old, but it's pretty sturdy so far. After reading this, I'd be leary of GHS genetics:

Hi All

well most of you are clear about your experiences with Arjan's seed post 1998 when i sold him my half of the company and left to Swiss setting up the Mr Nice Seedbank at the same time.

Since 1998 I must have answered several thousand complaints against Arjan's seed which he sells under GHSco. He will never admit it but he lost or killed most all plants that were left to him so he basically buys in seed from Ingemar(which is unpredictable at best) or tries to avoid true breeding by using hormones to feminize seed. The reason he feminizes seed is two fold, one it sells well to beginners or people wanting to only get females, and two because he has no idea of what male to breed with...nor does he have the males so as an alternative use the hormones to make seed from the female...a job anyone can do. The only problem now will come when people grow his types. And just a small tip for anyone who really wants to know, the loudest sound comes from an empty barrel...that is why he has god knows how many strains named after his own self...is it ego or insecurity...I will leave it to you to figure.

One last thing is if anyone of his internet sites dealt with complaints my life and work load would be so much lighter. A self acclaimed king...but actually a glorified dope dealer nothing more nothing less. Here endeth the story...all the best Sb

i did a DP fem WW grow last year and it was ok. It took forever to grow, and once neglected it didnt really come back too well. But once i flowered them all was good. It was a very nice high.

IMO not worth the 85 or 90 bucks i spent on the 5 seeds. Shoulda bought some nice afgan or kush etc...

im a fan of dutch passion. there seems to be alot of people who hate certain companys. in fact i could find someone saying something bad about every companys product. i however have had good cannabis with every seed i have purchased. even ghs. and barnys farm. and especially dutch passion.

GHS, DP I think are some of the most over advertised companies out there. Yes some of their genetics are good but you're in the pheno chasing game and that sucks. Think about how much volume GHS and DP are moving on an annual basis, pretty big since they have been around since back in the day. What Im getting at is the genetics from your smaller Ma & Pa company will be that much more stable/potent and most likely cheaper as well.

ps I did a freebie of the DP WW and honestly maybe it was the pheno but the smoke did not impress me. I am becoming more of a fan of smaller breeders.
