To someone who comes down for the first time...it seems great. But to those that grew up here....we know the best was yesteryear. The environment/wildlife is a shadow to what it was when I was just a lad. A mere shadow..... so it always strikes me a little sad when a tourist comments how wild Floriduh is.... uh huh....

I'm no conspiracy theorist either, but I am at least 99% with you that not a one of them can be trusted, truly. Hell, if I got into that position, I'm not even sure I could trust myself....shit is complicated, especially after a good harvest gets cured...

EDIT - I should work on defining what my form of progressive is a little better, true. Way too obtuse and broad....

then why on earth would you trust them with your most treasured luxury, healthcare?

these fuckers cant get mail to the front door. what makes you think they will do better with blood pathogins and open heart surgury?

Because they told him to like it.....

Why examine cost?

Why realize that the ones voting for it EXEMPT themselves from it? ( the SURE TIP OFF ur about to be screwed).

Why bother to realize that the USA has the finest health care ALREADY?

Why bother to realize that the current bill does not REFORM....anything at all?

Better to just have BLIND faith in a Socialist.

Meanwhile you can't get a hospital bed In Canada or Britain.

Last time I checked, nothing in the bill said a congressman would be doing my annual physical, a doctor would. Every other country that lets their government have a hand in it pays less per capita than we do and insures all their citizens. That is why I favor progress towards a system like the dozens that work better than ours.

False, you need to lay off the Fox News talking points here. Go read the bill, you will see only some congressional staffers are exempt. All of congress is mandated to get insurance the same way other folks will. Obama even talked about it in his speech today.

I guess 37 = 1. Interesting world you live on there...

Meanwhile you can't get a hospital bed In Canada or Britain.

And their systems are too socialist for American tastes. But let's go to Japan or Taiwan and see what it is like to get a hospital bed over there....funny how you always ignore whatever doesn't work for the line of argument you spew...

I trust doctors. I do not trust politicians. Perhaps I should bust out the crayons, as your reading seems to be on par with your writing tonight...you MUST be pretty blazed

I am laughing, it ain't coming. What few cities have banned foods have banned foods leading to bad health....kind of like taxing cigarettes. I would have preferred a tax over a ban. Guess I'm commie sympathetic....

Why don't you list what cities have banned which foods. I bet it would take the doomsday out of your voice....

a prime example of force over choice and you have the audacity to claim a distrust of authority. tell me, do you use a brain conditioner after each wash? i'm sure that picking and choosing when and on which topic to distrust our would-be masters gives you a wonderful feeling of independence, but it is nothing more than a way of forcing your own delusions onto your neighbors and abiding by the most popular demands of the envious mob. "gosh, i'd prefer a tax to a ban." what sort of crap is that? both feed the monster that seeks control over every facet of our lives. maybe the individual is unimportant to you, but that isn't your decision to make. it isn't a decision to be made by government or by the mob, it is the decision of each individual and stripping him of that right is an affront to the liberty you take advantage of every day. it is a sad commentary on our society that any of us can so blithely accept the elimination of choice as a proper course of action.

what pisses me off is the fines imposed in 2014 on people without insurance. what the fuck? i haven't seen a doctor in 7 years, and i have fibromyalgia. and i work hard to keep it that way. why should i pay $695 a year for someone elses fat ass just because i choose to eat right, excercise, minimize stress (grow my own pot), and take my milk thistle and eleuthero? this is some fucked up commy shit, im finna leave this shit box country soon.

Yea, those annoying government bureaucrats need to stop infringing on businesses' right to sell us shoddy and dangerous products. They also need to stop inspecting my meat....those motherfuckers.

So that the day you need emergency care for an injury or acute illness and you visit the ER, you don't end up bankrupting yourself and driving everyone's costs up. But mostly, it's because the rules are being changed so that insurance companies cannot deny you coverage because of past illness...unless you are required to have insurance coverage, you could simply decide not to buy coverage until the day you need it. Does this make sense?

The costs of the health welfare bill is going to go straight into the red & they had to put off the benefits as well. Everyone will pay for 4+ years BEFORE they can actually have the insurance "benefits"..... it is that much of a train wreck.

Do not go by the CBO numbers...they are highly inaccurate and WISHFUL thinking.

This will be a bloodbath.

The Democrats are now ON RECORD to rationed health care and a lowering of the countries standard of living.

At least now.... and in the future, everyone will know who did this to the country.

If you already have health insurance I am pretty sure that this is not going to happen. From what I have read from the bill synopsis (yes, I have actually read about the bill unlike some conservatives), folks who have health insurance will see little change.

The bigger changes will come in 2014 when most will be required to have insurance. This I think is a good thing: it spreads out costs and risks. It also helps to get rid of health care "moochers"

For those who can't qualify for "regular" insurance, you can apply for pooled insurance. This will still be insurance through private insurers.
Here is where my problem lie's with reform, america's historical past shows that the buck is allways passed onto the middle class to pay for the have-not's.

The list of what the middle class pays for allready is endless ,health care reform will as allways put the lions share of the load directy on the backs of the average guy who works overtime every week just to keep his household fed & clothed.

I will never get used to the sense of entitlement that the youth of this country has grown to expect.

my biggest worry is when the 16000 irs agents are hired. their primary job will be to find and punish people who do not comply with the master. dude, this is gonna get so ugly i am actually looking forward to it. you will have 16 thousand people trying to make a name for themselves in the irs system, going after regular americns money over petty bullshit and health care. this is gonna get ugly early.

preach on brotha obama preach on....
