I was down in Dade county Fla. New a X Dea Agent. At the time oh about four years ago. He said 99% of all drug bust, to include grow ops come from peoples big mouths, pissed off girl friends, jelious people, and the like. He would laugh at all the window dressing that goes on, i.e. police reality shows, high profile bust etc. Oh in fact there was a huge bust in The toxic jungle New Jersey, know how they busted the people, the dumb asses, non pot smokers, were burning off the male plants in the fire place, a cop smelled it and the jig was up. No Smoke a mirrors, well smoke actually, lol. Just relax, keep the grow manageable, under ten plants because that is the cut off for a lot of states to get tough on, and your mouth shut. When its time to sell, just people you found a good source. If you have to talk about it take on a partner.

If you're worried about your plants being spotted, just make sure to not grow in rows & to also not leave styrofoam cups around your grow. They can spot those cups used for watering from way up high in the sky. camouflage containers are your friend.

Flir is basically just a heat vision instrument it detect unequal ammounts of heat so they can determine wether your growing hydroponics or not
To avoid Flir
You can use L.E.D. Lights which don't generate any heat
Keep your house Heated so flir cant detect anything because the whole house is heated
Bring a thermometer and measure room temprature's at different parts of the room where your lights are etc and try and keep it all even
Have a clothe dryer running in the room your growing in so the Narc unit thinks your just drying some clothes

I have two things to say about this thread:
One, the DEA does not have the resources to bust people with 10 plants. Even if they saw it they would ignore it. Unless it was on government lands.
Two, since it is outdoor, don't do it on your property, and if ur caring for your plants and you see a low flying chopper, run and hide in the bushes. They want your plants not you.
Three, Flir does not work outdoors. It is commonly used legally to check for leaks in your house to prevent heat/airconditioning leaks to conserve energy. It's also ONLY used by the DEA if they believe you are growing already. In fact I have heard it is illegal unless they have a warrant to use it on your house. Something needs to tip them off, because again they don't have resources to do this all the time.
Bottom line, the DEA has slowed down on enforcement of marijuana laws in general. I would worry more about locals than the DEA at this point in time.
Im lucky, I live in a neighborhood where the cops arent allowed in unless they are called. The "cops" that patrol my area are security guards LOL

well they dont use flir outdoors so just bail. Wear camo when u go out there. IF u stand there they will shoot you or arrest you. Prolly shoot you and plant a gun on ur corpse.
