What can you tell me about misting?
And while I'm at it my soil pH is 6.0; is that pushing it? Also should I water durring the night cycle, morning, mid-day, or evening; does it even matter?
1. you should aim for 6.5. Don't use ph down next time you water and that should fix it.
5.8-7.2 is the acceptable range, but 6.4-6.6 is ideal.
2. You should water when the plants need it. Either way, the solution should be poured only on the medium and not on the leaves \ buds.
Misting is used to give the plant a boost of energy when it needs it. Usually when lacking roots.
You could mist daily with 1\4 strength fertilizer but I consider it a waste of time. If you'r feeding regime is fine you should simply not need it.
Misting is pretty dangerous too - the droplets can make the lights burn the plant at spots (meaning you should mist before the lights go out or shade the plants \ pull up the lights).
You should provide proper ventilation while misting. After 5-10 minutes the leaves should be free of any solution. If not, mold might develop.
YOU SHOULD NEVER MIST BEYOND WEEK 3 OF FLOWERING UNLESS YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING.
Instead of misting you could use a humidity dome. If the plants really NEEDS misting (AKA seedling or cutting) the humidity build up should do just the same as misting.
Your misting PH should be around 6.2 if I recall correctly, but don't catch me on this one. I go by the recommanded PH on the bottle.
