*Not looking good with pics*

Hi all. This is my second grow and my seedlings are lookinng pretty poor. They are white rhino growing in 70% perlite and 30% soil. I am really trying not to overwater these ones but they are forming badly and i think they could be underwatered. They are in small pots for the moment but i cant see this as an issue as much bigger plants grown in cups are far healthier. Well if this is normal then i will be relieved or if some have ideas then would love to hear them. I water very rarely but when i do, i do it until the water comes out the bottom and then leave them alone for quite a while. They are growing under a 125w CFL at present.

Christ.....plants leaves curls when they dry.....sagg like shit when u overwater drown. dont water for a day or 2 and see what happens.....rather how often and how much do you water? id add more soil too....overwatering in my opinion all day man

yeah i would say that you are using to much perlite causing your soil to dry out quickly and your not watering enough id say that buy now you should be using nutes on these little peckers and if you are using nutes maybe your using a little to much they are quite sensitive at this age i tend to use a nute designed for seedlings and my soil mix is 30 % perlite 70 % soil anyways hope this helps peace

I would usually use the opposite mix, 30% perlite 70% soil, and from the lighting in the pics your soil doesn't look right, its worth buying a bag of good quality 'light mix' soil to start them in. if your worried about under/over watering them it might be worth watering them as usually but also fill the reservoir/saucer with water, that way the soil and roots and take up whats needed. At this stage it is good to give them plenty of water, as long as the drainage at the bottom of the pot is good you need not worry about over watering. Before and after watering pick up the pot to gauge how heavy it is, this will make it easy to know when they next need watering.

Thanks for all your help everyone. I transplanted today and it was bone dry. Certainly not overwatering. I think they were also a bit short of nutrition due to the high percentage of perlite. Now in a 70% quality soil, 15%perlite and 15%vermiculite. Hoping they survive my silly actions.
