well this is gonna be my first grow, and i was wondering if this would work. im going to be building a grow closest out of some wood, inside of my shed, im going to drap it in white vynle. the size im not sure yet need to figure it out still. but i plan to growing 4-6 plants in soil, im going to have an exhaust fan up top with a vent going to the outside, have on blower fan that blows on the plats, n i plan to be running about 10 floresent t5s or some compact floresents. let me know how this sounds. i will get apic up just cant get it up off my phone right now. so kinda bare with me

I was thinkin about setting it up then starting my plants inside cause it is still cold out side right now where i stay at.. then when it begins to warm up move them out in the closet im building in the shed... or if i bought a space heater to keep the shed warm sure theat will keep the closet warm do to my fans. let me know

Hey bro,
Fellow newb here for ya. I have gathered a 10 point list on getting started.
From what I've learned in the past 2 months since I decided to grow my own fruits/vegys indoor. (doing my first "ghost run" now and germinating
)
1) Research (wich is what your doing)
2) Figure out how much you want to grow
3) Figure how much space you will need to achieve this (1 - 1.5sq ft per plant or more for taller bigger plants)
4) With your new found knowlegde decide mediums - Soil or Hydro
5) Make a list of ALL supplies you will need
6) Gather all that shit FIRST, before you even hammer your first nail.
7) Get seeds
8.) Build and assemble your new technical grow shrine
9) Test run everything i.e., timers fans lights water cycyles what ever you dont do that is left to techmocologicaly ish. - A "ghost run" You can start germinating know, the 2-3 days to germ will give you time to work the kinks out.
10) Have a fuckin blast doing all this and take pride in your work!
...Oh ya and the GOLDEN rule. Dont even tell yourself your doing this. Know what I mean?. Congrats.

hit up a garden center & tell them you want to start tomatoes now to plant outside when the weather breaks

im doing the same thing. a 10 x 16 split into 2 rooms,it works.2 -340 cfm squirrel cage fans 2-400 hps 4 - 22 inch t-5's 8-46 inch t-5's for clones,veg & flower'n.2 space heaters,1 ac unit ,2 air purifiers,3 fans.i re-insulated everything,the floor,walls,& the ceiling,put ir block on every inch!it does what its suppose to do.i started this adventure about 2 months ago i'll keep ya posted.any q's give me a hollar.

disregard everything I said, when i posted an exhaust fan wasn't needed,I was under the impression that this was a temporary setup until it got warm & you could move outside.I didn't catch that you were going to start in a closet & move outside to the shed.(stoner moment).
PC fan-I was talking about the fan inside a PC- great for small plants but wont cut it when they get big.a little desk fan would help to strengthen the young stems so they can hold up the buds when they form.
T5 are better-you will need the setup you mentioned for full sized plants- a few t12s would be OK to start with but once the plants get a foot or so high,they won't cut it.
Attitude seeds is well known around here,I never tried them but have had great luck w/ Dr chronic. getting the walls white or reflective is very important.any wood will work but if you want it to live for many,many yrs,use something rated for outdoor use.10-20 yrs of humidity will rot interior grade plywood for example.instead of wood,they make insulation board out of a foam that has a silver foil side,already reflective so it doesnt need paint.

Well i forgot to mention my shed has a window in it i will be throing a little fan in to pull air in from the ourside.
so how much room am i looking for here to grow about 6 plants. all in soil using the T-5's.. I am looking to grow some of the black jack, and hawian maui waui. also with it being cold out side still you think a space heater to throw in the shed would work to raise the temps so it dont get cold.
