but is it a good idea to give them nitrogen while flowering?
Yes it is, feed them regular veg nutes every 3rd feeding, keep the plant green and healthy and get a bigger harvest, there are a lot of growers here that grow this way because they understand a bit of botany

I wonder where that no nitrogen in flowering myth came from, it makes absolutely no sense.

If you don't enough nitrogen in the plants diet during flowering it gets it from the fan leaves. Since they carry water up and down the plant it is best to keep them as long as possible. I have a plant that is ready to flush and harvest and still has all green fan leaves.

Its good to give your plant "some" nitrogen, but dont go overboard.

Too much nitrogen will make your buds small.

Plain fact.

i got a question im in my first week on 12/12 and i used veg nutes.next res change should i use flower nutes or half and half. then flower for rest of cycle may be every other cpl weeks do a half mix? just curious this is my first grow and that is what my plan was.

also though products like dr horby big bud contains no nitrogen at all. i looked up a bunch of those advanced nutrients products and they have readings like 0-15-7, no nitrogen at all. whats that about then?

Best is to learn to read your plants and give em what they need

Snake oils and rocket fuels based on the myths feeding off the unsuspecting new growers with high priced nonsense

folks have been growing PLANTS for thousands of years based on simple botany, why would MJ be any different

Looks like them companies believe in high Phosphorous levels instead of the nitrogen.

Personally, I never thought adding nitrogen in flowering did much, except for making the leaves deep green.

I believe more in Phosphorous.

Ive grown buds both ways, not much difference, except the much greener plants tasted a bit funny.

But after a cure, it all tasted the same.

I'm using those Advanced Nutrients 3 part system, been just going by the back of the bottle and using a 1:1:1 ratio of all three bottles. Should I be using less or more of one of them?

Grow is 2-1-6, Bloom is 0-5-4, and Micro is 5-0-1.

So 7-6-10 I suppose?

I'm in flowering if I didnt mention that, thanks :P
