Space and Time

I believe time is an experience of three dimensions and it is time to recognize that there may be beings operating outside of space and time and they may have an interest in what happens on Earth and with us.

They know what is going to happen in the future and can go to any time in history to affect society accordingly.

Time, oh yeah I know all about it!

There's 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, 365+/- 1 days a year... and I make the most out of all of them.

Anything other than that is unimportant, time offers no promises, it does not stretch nor shrink, our thinking on time is nothing more than a human invention, as earth nor any other natural thing in our universes knows of time, it only knows existence.

Socata said it best, time is an arbitrary number made up by us dumb earthlings because we were to lazy or to overworked. Time should be of no significance because it really has no significance.

'Time' was realized when thousands n' thousands of years ago people saw a pattern in the way the Earth/Stars change/move(seasons). And set out to organize the day/year using numerical precision accordingly. Another medium of thought which we created for our own exploits.

- 1 picosecond (one-trillionth of a second) - This is about the shortest period of time we can currently measure accurately.
- 1 nanosecond (one-billionth of a second) - 2 to 4 nanoseconds is the length of time that a typical home computer spends executing one software instruction.
- 1 microsecond (one-millionth of a second)
- 1 millisecond (one-thousandth of a second) - This is the typical fastest time for the exposure of film in a normal camera. A picture taken in 1/1,000th of a second will usually stop all human motion.
- 1 centisecond (one-hundredth of a second) - The length of time it takes for a stroke of lightning to strike
- 1 decisecond (one-tenth of a second) - A blink of an eye
- 1 second - An average person's heart beats once each second.
- 60 seconds - One minute; a long commercial
- 2 minutes - About as long as a person can hold his or her breath
- 5 minutes - About as long as anyone can stand waiting at a red light
- 60 minutes - An hour; about as long as a person can sit in a classroom without glazing over
- 8 hours - The typical workday in the United States, as well as the typical amount of sleep a person needs every night
- 24 hours - One day; the amount of time it takes for the planet Earth to rotate one time on its axis
- 7 days - One week
- 40 days - About the longest a person can survive without food
- 365.24 days - One year; the amount of time it takes for the planet Earth to complete one orbit around the sun
- 10 years - One decade
- 75 years - The typical life span for a human being
- 5,000 years - The span of recorded history
- 50,000 years - The length of time Homo sapiens has existed as a species
- 65 million years - The length of time dinosaurs have been extinct
- 200 million years - The length of time mammals have existed
- 3.5 to 4 billion years - The length of time that life has existed on Earth
- 4.5 billion years - The age of planet Earth
- 10 to 15 billion years - The suspected age of the universe since the big bang

DOUBLETHINK MUCH?

You are doing the exact thing that the author of whatever-the-fuck you're reading is saying that's happening.

Let me explain.

You are using this Book of Enoch to say that history and time has been under scrupulous manipulation from a higher life form. When it is YOU who is doing the manipulating in reality.

Also, string theory isn't 100%. It's one the best theories we've got. Like democracy..

I often think that we are like the carp swimming contentedly in that pond. We live out our lives in our own "pond," confident that our universe consists of only the familiar and the visible. We smugly refuse to admit that parallel universes or dimensions can exist next to ours, just beyond our grasp. If our scientists invent concepts like forces, it is only because they cannot visualize the invisible vibrations that fill the empty space around us. Some scientists sneer at the mention of higher dimensions because they cannot be conveniently measured in the laboratory. - Michio Kaku, Hyperspace : A Scientific Odyssey Through Parallel Universes, Time Warps, and the 10th Dimension

I really like this guy. He is brilliant.

i've been realizing for years that there are beings operating in another place of space and time that have interest in what happens to us. how do i know? no idea...i just do, and i have no desire to debate that with anyone, because i dont really care what other people think lol. its just a personal observation based on my own experiences. but regarding time in general, i wonder how many people have ever experienced a time shift? i've experienced several. where you know you spent more time doing something than what the clock seems to say? i've learned that these time shifts, or glitches in time, are more common than i thought. i've talked to a lot of people who've had this type of experience...

Yeah its rediculous to say it is not possible, you will notice men or Women of Science never say anything is not possible.

*yawn* to this thread.

This sounds like someone who's taken too much acid in their life, LOL...

As for time shifts, I think it goes back to that old saying... "Time flies when you're ...."

Time shifts are impossible as time is not natural, time is man made... existence is the only natural clock.

never done any drugs other than bud :D

time shifts arent impossible. they cannot be impossible if people across the globe are experiencing them. i dont know *how* they work, and i understand that maybe science doesnt have a way to explain it, but they happen to a lot of people. i've experienced it a few times.

one of the times really bugged me out. i remember every vivid little detail, it really weired me out. i was getting ready for bed. i went from my room to the kitchen, i had to put away ice cream, the kitchen clock said 12:25. my bedroom clock was 3 minutes slow, so it would have been 12:22 there. i went back in my room and laid in bed...i spent a couple minutes trying to get comfortable, but it was too hot in my room so i decided to go lay on the couch in the living room. so i went out there, and tried to get comfortable out there...but the ceiling fan was making a ton of squeaky noise. i laid out there for about 10 minutes, maybe 15. definitely more than 5 minutes though, i was out there a while. but when i finally gave up trying to get comfortable on the couch, and went back to my bed, my clock in my room said 12:24. so according to my clock it had only been 2 mins since i put my ice cream away. but i spent at least 2-5 in my room before i even went out to the living room to try the couch...it screwed me right up. oh and i wanted to mention as well that i checked both clocks, just to be sure that my clock hadnt just glitched or something.

I seen the word inpossible again, naughty naughty socata. I agree that nothing is impossbile. everything our minds can think of is possible, whether its is logically possible or physically possible maybe debatable (i.e. flying in a dream, logical, flying in reality, physical). watch tv, you'll see. I know, i sounded like a kid with that statement. but if you watch tv, you will finds bits and pieces of reality tied to the show. well in 20 years watch the same reruns of that show and think of reality at that time. you will find more bits and pieces of reality tied that show 20 years later. basically what I am saying is the more we imagine, the more we try to make it real. some people do not have the drive to try and bring all of their imaginative creations to reality. but every now and then we have someone that drives "evolution" hence cloning, teleportation (read around, there has been successful teleportation of light particles, its a step in the right direction!!)

i know I sound crazy, and I am a little. but as a stoner, i know you all observe more than others it is a trait of stoners I have "observed" watch your surroundings, and you can see this type of shit all around.

and sarah, i know what you mean about just understanding things. i understand a number of things, but I dont think I will ever be able to put those understandings into words someone else could understand. kinda like a pregnant mother, they understand things unbeknownst to others and cant quite explain how they understand, or what exactly it is they understand. smoke on, time for a toke!

Sorry its "Fox News" :(it was the first link that came up.

Scientists have come a bit closer to achieving the "Star Trek" feat of teleportation.

No one is galaxy-hopping, or even beaming people around, but for the first time, information has been teleported between two separate atoms across a distance of a meter — about a yard.
