Grow Fort

Yes, the name makes me seem like I am 10 years old but be assured I am not. I am moving into a house soon that has a very large fort connected to a garage/workout area. The fort has a door and windows. It is built of wood. It is kind of crappy at the moment but I will touch it up. I plan on
A. Adding more wood to the floors/roof to keep bugs/bees out
B. Fixing up the little door especially adding a lock.
Here is where I need your help. The "Ford Room" Is around 3 Ft by 4-5 Ft. I plan on running a water proof extension cord out to the fort. Next I plan on connecting 1-2 other extension cords to it. I will use my outlet adapters to convert the extension cord outlets into light bulb sockets where I will put one of those "Splitters" on it to convert each 1 light bulb spot to 2 more. So in total I should have about
12 Light bulbs. I figure I will spend $25 to buy packs of two 26 Watt 6000k Daylight CFL's. Therefor I will have around 260 Watts. I should be able to grow about 3-5 plants off of that right? Also, What everyday item can I use for reflective material.

Emergency blankets are great. I use white plastic sheeting for the walls and mylar for the ceiling. You could also use silver lined insulation which would take out two birds with one stone(reflectivity & insulation).

Depending on how much power you are going to be using I would go with a heavier gauge wire to the "fort". Once you realize that fluro's are only good for side lighting and switch to HID, you're going to need it dude.

I'm gonna bust myself? It's my new house and never mind guys I'm upgrading and turning the workout area into my growing room. I may be misunderstanding but would mirrors be good reflective material?

Mirrors are actually less reflective than you would think, go with mylar or a white reflective poly, the emergencyy blankets are cheap will easily tear if you ever try to clean them and wrinkled as all hell usually, but are quite reflective. aluminum foil will cause hot spots

Okay, I am going to be planting in scotts soil but it only has 0.07 0.01 0.03 is there a reason the numbers are so small? Will this effect my plants in a negative way?

this will not effect your plants in a negative way, preferably you would want to start your seedlings off without nutrients at all. You may need to supplement some nutrients as you go along though to get the best results you will want to try to give the plant the max amount of nutes it will take

is this the avg amount of beginning nutes?

I dont use any nutrients till my plant has at least 4 nodes, ( usually ) all plants grow differently. But i would reccomend not using that soil until the 4th or 5th node. i use a good quality potting soil and mix it with vermiculite and perlite. You can start your seedlings or clones in nothing but vermiculite, i have had great results with that. So start with a small container and when the plants are at 4th or 5th node transplant them into the soil you have with the nutrients in it. the nutes will probably last around 30 days then you will have to start adding some on your own.

The only soil i use with nutrients in it is Foxfarms Ocean Forest and even then i mix it with my own soil mix.
